Hmmmm not sure I agree with Will Greenwoods statement that says the form back row in the premiership is Gibson, Wallace and Vunipola . I'd be broken hearted if Eddie chose that .....

Eurgh, yeah I meant Luke - that Quins guy with the long hair. Jack's the Bristol guy :lol:
Remember him playing really really well in the past, but not noticed him playing anywhere near that level recently.
To pick him over Fraser and Kvesic seems crazy.

Gibson has been playing well for Saints, but to say he's been better than Ewers?
Unless Ewers isn't being considered cause he's currently crocked?

Gibson just isn't a international 6, he is an excellent club player a jack of all trades master of none type of player IMO.

England need to go far away from those types of flankers now IMO.

Also Wallace? Does he not watch Kvesic or Fraser? Might be the fact he can't BT games means he hasn't watched them that much.

Some pundits pick the strangest of players.

Which isn't even what Greenwood said. He said most in-form. There is a big difference between the two.

Luke Wallace as an international should get far more flak than Gibson as an international tbh. I don't think Gibson would serve us badly, I just think we can do better... which is more than I could say for Wallace.

Sorry my comment was misleading I meant he's not the 6 in the best form at the moment . Ewers is head and shoulders above him at the minute . Hell even Croft is playing better than Gibson right now .... Gibson isn't the form player so I don't know why Greenwood is mentioning him

I would take Greenwood's opinion over all amateur - and even most professional - pundits!! However, we are all entitled to our own opinions for that is what they are!!

Gibson is the in form 6 in the county at the moment. Anyone who has watched all the bt games would know that.

6 rounds in and Croft has played 4 full games, 40 in another and got 20+ from the bench in another.

Take it or leave it . If the only rugby I'd watched ever was this season I'd have Itoje, Ewers, Williams and Haskell over Gibson purely on this seasons form alone

Robshaw in the small amount of game time at has really shone too . Although he gets more press than is needed imo

Gibson's looked pretty good. I don't think it's an unreasonable claim, although as noted, there's a lot of other strong candidates.

In any case, I'd imagine Jones will be looking for stand-out "I will shine doing this at international level" attributes as much as any form though.

While I've got no major worries about the sarries bunch named in the article, as replacements, I wonder who he's eying up as attack/backs. Hopefully he doesn't fob it off onto Gustard

I like the idea of having a more specialist Coaching team.

Be interesting to see what the current coaching team does.

Rowntree maybe to join Deano @ Falcons for a bit? Or maybe to Bristol?

Side note: would like Wilko in as a 10 mentor, and He should look to bring in Smith as a open side mentor when he leaves Wasps.

So we are looking at two Sarries coaches, an ex-Sarries head coach and an ex-Sarries captain? Nervous that this may result in a bit too much Sarries bias...

I really like the idea of the RFU hiring recently retired pro.s to mentor the youngsters; preferably those who played in a style the head coach (Eddie for now) wants.
Not all ex=players make good coaches, but I'm sure they can all add something in a mentoring capacity.
Let's have Bracken or Gomersall mentoring young English SHs, and helping them manage stepping up from U20 to senior pro; or Vickery doing the same for the young props; Richard Hill with the flankers; Jonny the FHs etc etc.
I believe that some do this already - on a club basis; and obviously, plenty go into coaching; but it really would be a good use of an untapped resource we really are rich in.
