4 years in the ITM cup vs a touch over 2 in the Premiership...
Captained his country at 'A' grade...

I've just got zero time for people who turn their backs on their countries in search of more money. He renewed his Wasps contract last year so is probably on close to/over £100k a year. For playing rugby.
Forgive me if my heart doesn't bleed for him.

I just hope that over the course of this next season (i.e. in the countdown to Hughes being eligible) our new coach finds/settles on his ideal no.8/back up 8/reserve 8 and we can tell Hughes to swivel.

Just another distraction like SA and SB have been on the build up to the WC.

Love all the mention of Cipriani, and the pictures, then it says "actually he didn't invest."

That is a crazy situation though.

Any news on Andrew who is key to getting a top coach.

If Andrew goes could see.

Head Coach - Jones (Still of mind he would be desperate to coach England, been very vocal about us, the money will be very nice and If he can transform England will be a hailed a hero unlike anywhere else)
Forwards Coach - Borthwick (Could see Jones taking him from Bris)
Then have a Scrum coach, Assistant coach and defence coach.

I think England's problem in the forwards is our Forwards coach is a front rower whereas must countries only had a front rower to coach the scrum.

Also seems like the AP thread is turning into another England Management thread.

I think people are being very, very premature with Borthwick - he was just a lineout coach for Japan - Maso was their forwards coach.

Who was the Argentinian who coached the Aussie forwards? Would prefer him after the job he did with their set piece.

Maybe - Maso has been their forwards coach for a few years AFAIK.
Borthwick only came in last year to help with the line out.

If true Lancaster is a prick for not stamping this out before shyt happened.

For a head coach who didn't let players out for fear of unwanted distractions he seems to have zero control of the background stuff.

I'd just seen the same story on the Mail website. Squad members lose £100k after taking share tips from the team's kit man FFS. Burgess was apparently the biggest loser.

Honest to God, what next?

Give me a spot of good honest dwarf lobbing and ferry jumping, any day!

Ah come on! Idiots taking a share tip and losing their money......Lancaster's fault? Really!!

Have a look at the footballers taken for between 100 million and a billion by investment and tax advice in the Times today!!

Fools and their money.....at least Cips took independent advice and did not invest!! Why did not the others?

I would say Lancaster is partly to blame he should of told his kit man to stop.

Might be fools and there money but it was going on during a rugby World Cup training camp.

Yeah, it makes him look like a bit of a mug after spending four years emphasising that the squad / environment needs to be focus, disciplined and squeaky clean.

Having your kit man giving players dodgy stock market tips in the run up to a World Cup is none of those things...

They are all grown men. If Lancaster didn't encourage it he shares no blame

And I'm sure Johnson didn't say go out and toss some Dwarfs.

It's under Lancaster charge directly in his camps, he should of known and told him to stop, not let wanna be captain Wood handle it.

How is he supposed to know about private emails? (assuming they were)

That's a very different scenario to half the team going out and getting slaughtered, or older players taking the **** out of guys who are "trying too hard".

His senior players should have told him if they respected him enough.
