Ewers isn't in because of concussion worries so it would have been 4.

Bloody wish he was English, he truely is a world class 7.

His concussion was the reason he was left out of the Saxons squad to play this week- we were talking about the eps (in which there are currently 3 chiefs players).

So what do you think of this teams' chances against the babaas- imo it's a pretty dangerous (if not lightweight) backline, I hope Yarde comes in looking for work. The forward pack looks in general pretty strong (Brookes, LCD, Mullan, Launch, Slater would be a competitive front 5 against any international team- good around the field too with LCD, Launch), the backrow is a little inexperience be comparison- though has potential, massive chance for Clifford and Beaumont.
I expect a number of players will be really up for this match and wanting to press home a message to the coaches- would be good to see Wade, Tait et al. running riot.

BARBARIANS SQUAD

BACKS:
Gio Aplon (Grenoble & South Africa), Stephen Brett (Lyon), Tomas Cubelli (Belgrano Ath & Argentina), Alex Cuthbert (Cardiff Blues & Wales), Yoshi Fujita (Panasonic Wild Knights & Japan), James Gopperth (Leinster), Zane Kirchner (Leinster & South Africa), Ugo Monye (Harlequins & England), Wynand Olivier (Montpellier & South Africa), Ruan Pienaar (Ulster & South Africa), Tusi Pisi (Suntory Sungoliath & Samoa), Joe Rokocoko (Bayonne & New Zealand), David Smith (Toulon).

FORWARDS:
Matias Diaz (Pampas & Argentina), Jason Eaton (La Rochelle & New Zealand), Deon Fourie (Lyon), Shane Jennings (Leinster & Ireland), Pablo Matera (Pampas & Argentina), Konstantin Mikautadze (Toulon & Georgia), Ryu Koliniasi Holani (Panasonic Wild Knights & Japan), Adam Jones (Cardiff Blues & Wales), Rodrigo Capo Ortega (Castres & Uruguay), George Smith (Lyon & Australia), Saimone Taumoepeau (Castres & New Zealand), Rodrigo Tejerizo (Tucuman & Argentina), Brad Thorn (Leicester Tigers & New Zealand), Gerhard Vosloo (Toulon) David Ward (Harlequins), Thomas Waldrom (Exeter Chiefs & England), George Whitelock (Panasonic Wild Knights & New Zealand).

As I said, some good players in there- but not as strong as last year. If England up the tempo, some of them might begin to struggle (should get at least parity in the scrum).

So Ewers won't play for the Saxons ? Can't see how he can force his way into the EPS without this game to try to force the issue home

Anyone seen Hartley has been cited for a Headbutt ? I'm not sure he did anything wrong on this occasion but it's stating he may miss the RWC .....

If he gets suspended for, if they're looked at what I think they are, essential walking into someone, the world has gone mad.

Yeh he barged him imo but so what the is rugby not ballet . The barge is unnecessary if you ask me but not worth banning someone over .....

I didn't see the incident (for a Cornishman there was a much more important match to be watching), but hasn't this citing come from a citing officer? You would hope they wouldn't bring frivolous citings.

It does look more like a chest bump where he happened to have his head down - however if there's any head on head contact then "duty of care" and all that.

The above view in this looks pretty damning, but then the side view it looks like absolutely nothing:

Lol, reminds me of this grainy old clip of the Simpsons:

As Alan Pardew would say -
It wasn't a headbutt, I just pushed him away with my head.
