England EPS 2016/17 season.

So what do people think about alex lozowski as an England prospect? Early days I know and we already have 2 10's at a good standard but he seems like he could surpass both of them.

Bit sceptical to be honest. He's clearly got a lot of talent but international fly-halves are defined by the ability to consistently make decisions very quickly under pressure. I'm not sure how he develops that as Sarries' back up. Plus, you know, this is England and the amount of guys who look very promising during early days and never make it work is pretty big.

That's not true.....

Apart from lamb oh and Gherety and cipriani and Freddie burns and 12trees

Think you're bang on actually.

I think Jones has been impressed by Lozowski's physical attributes and the fact that hes young and has been able to slot in well. Getting him involved early in the set up to see how he stacks up and how much growth he can squeeze out of him. By no means is he a sure bet as countless examples od young promising players have shown. You can bet that if Cipriani, Burns, Geraghty were the same age Jones would have them in the set up as well. Being in the Sarries system should help him a lot with Jones crafting the English game plan largely in their image.

Strikes me as a very good rugby player, but only a decent 10. Think he could be very good at 15.

I haven't watched a lot of him, what's his defence like? If good I think he's got the mix of individual attacking ability and play making skill to make a very good 12.

He is kinda like Wilkinson, he puts some big hits in and against Exeter he stopped some forwards dead in their tracks, very impressive. Apparently he misses a lot but that's due to the Sarries defence.

His defence is good, very very solid hits. Bit concerning for a 10 really, since big hits are nice, but too many of those aren't going to do his shoulders much good, especially since he's not exactly heavy set.

Think 15 would be very good, pace to burn, decent step, fearless in defence to stop those breaks. Don't think he's powerful enough to really go well at 12 (a bit like Farrell).

From what I've seen he'd be a really useful Premiership 12 but probably lacking any outstanding abilities to take him to the next level and with a few things that'd be okay at Prem level but probably not at international (i.e. size)

Loz that is, not Genge. Although Genge would probably make a pretty good crash 12...

If he ever caught the ball...
That said, I'm a big fan of Genge and think he is without a doubt who we should be looking to make our 1st choice loosehead, but why can't he hold onto the ball?

With all these injuries...im staggered that Mark Wilson is not even mentioned for coming in to the squad....

For 3-4 years now he has carried the falcons at times on his own. He can do the lot...he even played half a season at lock (due to injuries) and was outstanding! He is consistently top class yet not even a mention of him.

He is a perfect replacement for Robshaw who looks set to miss the whole 6n.

I hate to say this but it's easy to be the best player in a poorer team. Same as it's easy to be an average player and look better In a top team.

He's a great player but nothing special.

Sorry that makes no sense...???

If you think he's nothing special then you obviously haven't seen him play much....

PS we're now playing very good rugby....and he's still outstanding....
