England 2024/25

This is going to sound like a wind up but is Cracknell completely off the radar for England as a big, nasty 6? Arguably he's one of the form players in the Premiership, he's only 30 and he's actually English despite his Welsh call-up in 2017 and U20s caps.

I guess it all depends on what stevie B wants from his 6.

We've seen Roots, Chessum, Curry and CCS.

Apart from Curry, all those are the bigger 6 mould but then I can't remember if curry and underhill were both fit at that stage.

So is curry his starting 6 when all are fit or Chessum? Which means Cracknell would need to get past Chessum, Roots, Curry and CCS to hock I can't see happening. Too many players higher in the pecking order.

Yeah, that's fair. It just came into my head this morning so I thought it was worth suggesting.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that he's on the radar for a Wales recall

Biitz defence axed according to the Daily Mail.

Sam Underhill a Six Nations doubt after third ankle injury in seven months according to the Times. Times say both Curry's and Earl can cover and suggest Pepper and Pollack are next in line.
I like Pollock but would rather see him feature for England A at the moment, then give him some game time in the summer tour.

He has looked very good this year, I guess the age profile just doesn't help him.

Presumably they have just ditched the blitz defence where they go up and in, and gone back to the blitz defence where they go up and out. They won't have ditched the blitz defence altogether and gone back to drift defence.

However it looks, I don't want a new defence routinely wheeled out as an excuse. SB's now 2 years in and it's time for results.

It won't be just the new defence excuse. It'll be combined with one or more of -

Borthwick Bingo.

1) We are a young squad and improving.

2) Some of these players nearly got us to a World Cup final.

3) Week on week we'll keep getting better.

4) The dog ate my spreadsheet.
