E3 debrief

Iv'e played rugby challenge before, and it doesn't come close to rugby 06 or 08. Im proud to stand with HB. Rugby challenge is not even registering South Africa, that is really dumb considering we are the current WC champions. I really hope HB studios are going to make rugby games more often now, because there are alot of rugby game fans, i'm 1 of them and will defnitely buy them every year!!

Sidhe had nothing to do with the previous Rugby Challenge.

Well it doesn't really matter, South Africa isn't licensed. Buy rugby challenge if you want! :) I'm sticking with RWC2011

Until HB have said otherwise then you don't know that.

We’re delivering Familiar, Fast, Flowing and Fun gameplay, Online and on the PS3 and 360 for the first time â€" all in time to be played in the run up to Rugby World Cup 2011.

I hate to be that guy but is the word familiar cause for concern? I certainly was hoping the game felt a lot more realistic than 08, which was ace fun but didn't really feel like rugby...

Obviously I can't be sure but I imagine that AJ is referring to it being familiar and true to Rugby, however that's just my perspective. :)

Neither RWC 2011 or Rugby Challenge have announced whether the Springboks will be licensed or not, so I don't quite know where you get off saying that. Maybe you should wait until all the licenses are announced before you start throwing that kind of info around

And what wouldthe great informed have to stand tall on their soap boxes about if they were to take sound advice as such...

Doesn't mean we aren't quite competitive. Just consider that both sides are approaching the "rivalry" in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

like when your bestfriend supports another team both in the grand final. Its a good rivalry =]

Both sounding pretty good to me, so I'll probably buy both! Rugby Challenge will have club and Super Rugby as well as the TNs and I have always been impressed with Sidhe's games, so why wouldn't you get their's too? It's worth pointing out that if they have all the SANZAR related comps, it's pretty likely that they'll have the Sprinboks in there... they simply may not be able to announce it yet due to the nature of the agreements.

I think Alastair and I would agree that everybody should buy both games so they can make a fair comparison and experience everything modern rugby gaming has to offer ;)

so whats the ETA of the first gameplay video, i dont care about a trailer i just want to see a match being played :)

sidhe and hb should just agree to not go after exclusive licences for their next games. it just negatively affects us as the people playing the games. maybe even after this game EA will step it up and create Rugby 13 or something

if you look good in the screenshot of Sidhe that all blacks sing the haka against the Wallabies, is achieved in the field see the logo of the tri nations tournament, that means the license will be with sprinbocks safely.and so the license of the three nations that have not formalized, but the catch is unable to see.
PD: Sorry my bad english, i from argentina.

Thats a great point! Can anyone from Sidhe comment on this? the official trinations logo is quite clearly used..

but he also said merely having a tournament license doesn't 'license' all teams in that competition. eg. RWC2011 with WC license.

Would be kinda funny though wouldn't it? Having the official logo with all the right logos within that, but then when it came time to play SA, you line up against the SA Bambis or something lol.
