Got to replace the gate into the garden.
Got the new one, treated/stained it (apparently, stain designed by someone who doesn't know what oak looks like).
Removed the knackered gate from its hinges.
Removed the top hinge.
Tried to remove the bottom hinge.... Got 2 screws out, and... Nope, not happening.
Obviously, I can't put the new gate on until that hinge is removed (and re-placed a bit lower).
Hmmm. Tried my "damaged screw remover" which works about 1/10. Today is not one of them.
1 of the screws did listen a bit, before just stripping the head, but I was able to get a cold chisel in there and break off the head.
Down to 1 screw, which hasn't turned a single degree...
Tried using the cold chisel to listen the wood's grip - no luck.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Got a "better quality" set of removers in the Amazon basket, but would like to get it fixed today.
