Ian Bell dropped twise, I hope that does not mean the difference between a win and a draw. But with Root and Bairstow out the odds are stacking more and more in the Black Caps favor. Also looks like Prior is playing shots, even better for NZ
 
Wasted review there by NZ - Prior wasn't even close to hitting that ball.

EDIT: Ironically he has no problem edging the ball into his pads....

so 15 wickets have occured in this test after the first 28 following a new ball. There's been 229 of such overs. this equates to 15 overs to get a wicket if the ball is older than 28 overs. this isn't enough time!
 
There is still plenty of time - we just need a bit of luck. Wagner should have had Prior a couple of overs ago if the bails had actually come off the stumps!

Williamson back. Good. Bowling Martin is a waste of time...

EDIT: Williamson looking far more dangerous already...
 
Dropping Bell and Prior have cost us the game. Barring a couple of brain fades England should hang on for the draw. Good resilient batting, sloppy catching from us.
 
I wouldn't call it game over yet! New Zealand should still be odds on to win this - we still have 37 overs to get only 4 wickets. The England tailenders have offered very little resistance this series - we just need one more wicket and it will get interesting...

If we don't end up winning this though, I agree we will really rue those drop catches...

EDIT: we seriously need to stop bowling Bruce Martin though....

EDIT: YES! There is one of those wickets!!

Bell gone, but we needed him before lunch. Broad is a decent batsman and can probably hold out a while. Would not have rated England a chance if we had Bell 2 hours ago, they essentially only have to hold out 2 and a half more hours. Broad and Anderson can probably hold up a while between them. We need to unsettle Broad early and often.
 
Broad is a handy bastman.... or at least was 12 months ago. He has been rubbish with the bat over the last year from what I have seen. Hopefully this continues ;)
 
Dear Shane Bond. Please have lots of children. Donate your sperm if necessary! NZ needs wicket takers. Without them we'll never be good at Test Cricket.
 
Dear Richard Hadlee. Yes you are old, but for the sake of the nation you need to have intercourse with Shane Bond's sister.

England survive - well batted Prior (and Bell and Broad). This is why test cricket is so great to watch!
 
it was fixed I tell you. How else can you explain it? Someone wrote that story, it wasn't real life.

It was the middle of the night on a school night. Good game though we were awful for the most part of this test, and this draw feels like a win. Well played to NZ thou you guys are improving, that's certainly the best i've seen you play in test form for some time.
