If Swing state voters don't see what a dangerous idiot Trump is after all these briefings and vote him out in November I will lose faith in humanity; not that I haven't anyway especially with American voters who voted him in to begin with. It beggars belief what he is saying and what he just said last night just tops it off. I have given up on Trump supporters, they will vote for him come what may and make excuses for his totally retarded utterances. It's an identity thing with them anyway and they aren't really listening to the substance of what he is saying, just identifying with his brand.

I've read that Trump's grand plan is to get one more term and then attempt to pass the reigns to his daughter Ivanka who he wants to become the country's first female President.

Cohen's testimony last year shed some light on Trump's intentions before he got elected. He never expected to and saw the campaign as a means to boost his brand and image and in turn his wealth. I can actually believe that.

And then he got elected and now enjoying the power and desperate to win a second term. Even if does lose in November the transition won't be easy and he'll likely challenge anything in the courts to delay any hand over of power.

the Thought of Ivanka and Kushner taking over is not worth thinking about right now. Thankfully, she would have to go through an election process like her daddy and not just get handed it to her. And her "brand" is much weaker than her dad's and unlike Dubya hasn't been a Governor of a state yet.

Its the Express I'd be highly dubious if anything they printed was correct.

I wouldn't even use the Express as bog roll alternative, it would just make your arse even more dirty.

Donald Trump said idea to inject disinfectant to cure coronavirus was 'sarcastic'

You really can't make it up. The entire world listened to his words.

Ah so he was WUMping.

Let's take him at his word and say he was being sarcastic. Why the hell would you be sarcastic about that in the context of what was being said and done?

Exactly. Put this alongside his "misspeaking" when he said he didn't believe why it would(n't) be Russia. He's just trying to walk back his comments because of the utter disbelief at the stupidity of his remarks/thinking and this time can't use the misspoke excuse or that he didn't say it when it was live in front of America on prime time. He is the laughing stock of his country and the world; like he wasn't already.

Just classic gaslighting,
I wish we were 100yrs in the future just to see how Trump is remembered. There's never been anything quite like it - "the leader of the free world" suggesting you could inject disinfectant

Pretty hilarious this.

but to be fair he never actually suggested injecting disinfectant was a good idea or should be done. He merely asked if they were going to test whether disinfectant could somehow be used inside a human. A stupid person in charge of making decisions should still be granted the right to ask a question. Much better than him not asking and instead just stating that injecting disinfectant could cure people. Which happens to be exactly what a lot of the media has said he did, at least in headlines - which, let's admit it, is either all people read or all that is used to form their opinion even if they read words in the article that say the opposite. A simple caveat from trump in what he said would have sufficed, , that people shouldn't do such a thing without medical advice or without it being tested, which was implied but not explicitly stated.

trump supporters simply don't listen to any media except that which is heavily biased in their favour, and there is simply no chance they will listen to media biased the other way. And the mere existence of media biased the other way makes them mistrusting if media in general, which makes the only safe bet for them the media that is heavily biased in their favour.

This is why an independent body needs to exist for media, Paid by government but independent from it. An open market for media results in articles that pander to its readers: trump haters want media that mocks him, so media that mocks him gets sold to these consumers (mostly via ads these days, but the driver from the seller is the same); trump lovers want media that says he is great and confirms any mockery of trump is simply just trump hating communist atheists. Media controlled by the government will simply be biased by self interest. An independent body is a better idea.

don't get me wrong, trump mockery is warranted in general, and the sad thing is there is simply no need to slant things to make him look more mockable than he really is. And with an independent media body there will still be websites and magazines with biased articles, but people will see these more as opinion pieces than media.

I guess it just makes me sad that obvious evidence of bias against trump in the media is fuelling his supporters belief that only their pro trump media can be trusted.

Sorry but the caveat he didn't tell people to inject it their veins but suggested that the doctors try testing it doesn't make it better. For one it's still batshit crazy that no doctor would of reasonably suggested it. Two he's clearly misread or misheard something about cleaning and then thought I'm a genius we could test that on humans and I've saved everyone. Lastly he and we all full well know that even if he did say don't try this at home some ******* idiot is going to but he didn't say that. That's why everyone has to say quite loudly don't do it yesterday.

This is also not the first quack cure he's tried to pedal.
