Christmas No. 1

Why would a non-Xfactor song, such as Lady Gaga, going to number one **** off the people who were beavering away to make sure the Xfactor didn't get the number 1 slot?

Eather way, surely you'd agree that it'd be (by hook or by crook) mission accomplished?

I abstained. I don't like either song.[/b]

Teh Mite's gonna tell you that you're 'missing the point' or 'don't get it'.

And on that point.....I hate NME;

"Say what you like about the billions of pounds raked in by the video game industry - no-one will ever care about 'Call Of Duty' the way they care about Rage Against The Machine. And that's something worth celebrating." - I don't think he gets it...

No, I would respond like that if he'd said something dumb like "Well Sony still make money" or the even better/dumber like "Simon Cowell owns the Rage song", both of which are doing the rounds nigh on everywhere.

Never thought it would win... but it's great!!!

I've seen KITN called 'music for angry teenagers' by some journalists, but it's far from it. The guitar riff is awesome, probably one of the most iconic of all heavy rock music. The lyrics are angry, but fair enough. Now SOAD have taken a break, how much proper politics (not U2) do you get in rock music?

Truly brilliant song. For the first time since I was about 8, I've actually paid attention to the charts.

If people actually like the Climb why didn't they just download the Miley Cyrus version, it's much better and it's only about 6 months old anyway.

If they don't like the song, why would they believe it should be a hit?

Surely it should be about the music?

No really!!!! Are you actually trying to say that a list of the most popular songs in the country should be about music, and not image, sexuality and hype? Don't know what planet you're on... ;)

What's wrong with Miley Cyrus?

And if they don't like the song why have they bought the X-Factor version in their hundreds of thousands?

cause songs do grow on people depending on the versions. Radio 1's Live Lounge proved that - it made me and quite a few others change our opinions on different songs after hearing a few different versions
