Changes in Sharks management: New CEO, new Director of Rugby

Over the last couple of weeks, changes have been made in the Sharks management department. John Smit will be the new CEO, starting in july:

I just wish we made these changes earlier. Everyone knew 2 years ago, Plum was not the solution long-term. Yes, we played 3 finals in 12 months, but was it all that good? Yes, we struggled with injuries, but we suffered more from the bad decisions.

There is no long-term plan on his mind. Even in the Currie Cup, youngsters were hardly ever given a chance. Maybe this will change now.

I rate Venter as a rugby guru and have to admit I found his rants very amusing though he'll probably have to keep a lid on his emotions. Good signing IMO and the Sharks can just keep him away from microphones. Is there a short list for new coaches? I think the Sharks can only benefit from moving away from Plumtree... or maybe I should wait to hear who they are considering before making any comments; they could recruit P Divvy to coach the Sarks as an example.

Hot off the press....Sharks and Sarries to merge with Ventner as CEO, Director of rugby, Head Coach, Finance Director, Director of travel and has promised to sweep the floor if someone would shove a broom up his.............

They will be swapping players often during the season using Ventner's air miles, that he has accumulated over the last three years, to save on the airfares.........
