Canada Names Thirty Man World Cup Sqaud, Demi-God included!!!!

* Players who participated in the Welsh Championship as part of the Northern Wales team known as RGC 1404 in 2010-2011

Completely pedantic point but there is no such thing as the 'Welsh Championship' ... its actually the Welsh Premiership and to which RGC 1404 or WRU North Wales Senior Academy (as it is now apparently called) do not participate in ... yet. RGC are rather an invitational / development side that plays games mainly against other regions / clubs development teams.

Chauncey O´Toole for me looks a real decent player but played little for RGC. White looked good for RGC but during the Churchill Cup he looked distinctively average.

Having Griffiths on board for Canada is a big boost for the defence. Not only this, Clive's experience will be valuable in helping develop Canadian players and tactics.

I'm Sorry but Tonga is very hard to beat this time around. I see them being too strong and will run away with this game.

Tonga can certianly win the game but I would be surprised if they ran away with it, Tonga also has the added difficulty of only having three days rest after playing New Zealand before they come up against a fresh Canada.

Tonga are good, no question about it. Some great players in the frontrow and on the wings but not much noticeable talent in other positions and this can go against them against teams like Japan and Canada. Japan defeated them today, meaning Tonga has lost every match vs the Japanese since RWC 2007. Going off the likely teams of Tonga, Canada and Japan and the form of the players I see little reason to suggest Tonga should be considered favorites for third in the pool. I think they´ll lose all their games. Japan vs Canada will be the one to watch. I´d pick Japan and on paper they should win. If I were Tongan I´d be pretty worried. The Tongan side from 2007 was better and by a fair distance.

It's really exciting to see a country like Canada step it up as a rugby nation - it'll be interesting to see how they move up the rankings from now...
