2011 Rugby World Cup final 30 man squads

Great strength in depth, I actually hope the French do well this WC, it'd be nice to have a winner from the NH, from the two warm-up matches I'd go with

15 Heymans
14 Clerc
13 Rougerie
12 Mermoz
11 Clerc
10 Trinc-Duc
9 Yachvilli
8 Picamoles
7 Harinordoquay
6 Dusatoir
5 Nallet
4 Pierre
3 Mas
2 Szarzewski
1 Poux

I think Parra looked better than Yachvilli in the warm ups, though they are fairly close, I suppose

You have Clerc listed twice :p I'm guessing you would put Medard in? I think Barcella with some fitness would be much better than Poux and I hope the loosies will be 6. Dusatoir 7. Ouedraogo 8. Harinordoquay.

From a neutral standpoint I have always believed Yachvili to be France's best scrum-half. His precision kicking and passing and excellent tactics are what the national team missed back in 2007.

Are you able to update the squad lists above now that they've all been announced. Would be good to have a look through them all.

As every country is about to announce his next 30 men squad, France, always ahead on its time, is about to give the name of his next team manager: Philippe St André.

We've already seen here the effects that this kind of communication bring in terms of motivation (Laporte announcing his leaving before the WRC07) for the team, let's hope the "matures grises" won't dig up now another Guy Mocquet letter...

No Ashley Johnson, Keegan Daniel, Jean Deysel, Ryan Kankowski, Zane Kirchner, Dewald Potgieter, Andries Bekker (injury), Juan Smith (injury), Lwazi Mvovo,

Biggest surprises being called up:

- Johann Muller
- Francois Louw
- Butch James
- Odwa Ndungane

Biggest surprises being left at home:

- Flip van der Merwe
- Keegan Daniel
- Lwazi Mvovo
- Ashley Johnson (thought he would be in the squad despite his lack of abilities)

I'd say Ulster aren't happy IMO they mainly named Muller captain in the hope he wouldn't go.

So now from an Irish perspective on players missing it's

Leinster:13
Munster:9
Ulster:7
Connacht:a big whopping 0

Also when were the rankings changed? Didn't here anything about Ireland dropping to 6th or is that just Ducks opinion?
