Interesting to see Addison keep the captaincy with Beaumont back, though I do like it. He seems a better captain.

Pretty lightweight 2nd row, and then nothing on the bench. Nott looks more a 6 at this stage of his development, however he's very talented and, like Jennings/the Curry Bros, doesn't shy away from a scrap.
Not expecting a lot from this game looking at the wasps side, I'd be happy with a losing BP.

What's happening with Charnley...?
He's not been very good, or at least not good enough to be first choice starter.

Think the official line is that they always planned on using him in bursts early doors because he's not had an off season, but he was clucking to play so they'll give him some game time then some r&r and wash/rinse repeat for the season (Charnley came to us less than 2 weeks after the grand final, whereas solomona had like 2 months off, or something)
He's also got a newborn so more time with the family.

Gloucester for Sarries game:
15. Tom Marshall; 14. Charlie Sharples, 13. Matt Scott, 12. Billy Twelvetrees, 11. David Halaifonua; 10. Billy Burns, 9. Willi Heinz (capt); 1. Josh Hohneck, 2. Richard Hibbard, 3. Salesi Ma'afu; 4. Tom Savage, 5. Jeremy Thrush; 6. Ross Moriarty, 7. Jacob Rowan, 8. Ben Morgan

Replacements:
16. Motu Matu'u, 17. Yann Thomas, 18. Paul Doran-Jones, 19. Mariano Galarza, 20. Lewis Ludlow, 21. Callum Braley, 22. James Hook, 23. Henry Trinder

Seems Kvesic is now completely out of favour as he's not listed as unavailable and hasn't played must recently.
Other than that, it's about as good a side as we can put out (beyond personal preferences).
There will be a book on how long Ma'afu lasts this evening - that boy is a long way shy of fit.

Young centre pairing for Bath looks interesting. Don't know much about Jennings, impressed by what I've seen of Clark.

Tasty looking backrow. Although all are different degrees of returning from injury

Faintly depressing Quins squad, even accounting for the international window. You could make a top four team from the unavailables

What's more than 'faintly depressing' is that even with everyone fit, Kingston & co would not be able to make us a top 4 side.

Obvious deficiencies in the squad haven't been addressed and we persist in signing has beens and relative nobodies.

Our league position flatters us and owes more to poor competition than it does to any real quality.

Wayne Barnes proofing how far up his own arse he is tonight.

Massive knock on for Gloucester try. Oh I'll ignore that.

Gloucester players lying all over the ball in there 22 oh I'll ignore that.

Saracens player tackles player who lands on his arse penalty to Gloucester.

I thought refs were supposed to be impartial to the home crowd?

Making rugby a farce when the ref chooses who wins..

Yes, yes and uhh, yes. I'm just trying to stay as positive as I can, for now, to stave off having to think about where we may end up in 2 years. I.e. when certain players are past it, retire or otherwise and we continue signing the bargain players in the meantime with little or no coaching.

Yay!

Marchant is looking good for Quins so far, definite future prospect. More like JJ of old.

Sometimes you watch him in general play and you wonder if he gets involved enough, then he does something like that and you remember why we went after him so hard
