Australia again

Stab at what % of the Lions will be made up of Saffas, Kiwis and Aussies?

Wrong person to ask, one thing I care less about than the current state of eligibility laws is the Lions. Hoping this tour is such a damp squib that the whole thing gets questioned. The Lions have three countries involved ranked higher than Oz, I can't see the point in it anymore.

To answer your question:

The three Irish Kiwis are guaranteed if fit.

Schoeman probably the same althoigh I'd never give too strong an opinion on props.

Maybe a bolter from the Scottish backrow but I think Ireland and England have those spots locked up.

Tuipuluto maybe, definitely has an advantage in that most of his centre competition is Irish and only three can get minutes in any given international.

Hansen and VDM are possibles although between Lowe, IFW, Freeman, Sleightholme and Osborne you have a lot of back three / utility options who could be better.

4-6 players would be my guess, more travellers than Wales most likely.

5 or 6 maybe. In all honesty they probably don't need to take any and it's not going to harm there chances or the odds much.
I mean their chances of success are like 99% so yeah.

I wouldn't go writing off Australia so easy. As we've seen before putting together a team of players who have never played together and expecting them to gel/perform straight away is a big ask and I expect Schmidt to get Australia to a good standard. I expect a lions win but I don't think it'll be a walk in the park.

But the Lions team should be mostly Irish players with the Ireland coach so they will have played together.

True but it's not going to be all Irish players in the starting 15 and certainly not in the matchday 23.

I would obviously back the lions to win the series I just don't think it's going to be a walk in the park

I mean 10s a pretty key role and I don't see how an Irishman can claim that given the other available FHs.

there was lots of complaining on the All Black forum im on....until people read the article and saw its just warm up game, every other Lions tours seems to have warm up games against team like Argentina, Japan or the baa baas...dont see an issue
