Lavalla had a terrible game
Lavalla had a terrible game
I think Madigan's good enough to play at 12 on a more permanent basis, provided he got significant experience in the position. His future at Leinster is probably at 10 though, they have enough depth in center for next year anyways.
Very talented player, makes things happen.
I think he would work very well at either 10/12 combined with Sexton. Could be a Larkham-Giteau; Carter-McAlister thing. Steady player and game breaker pairing.
That was pretty fun. Aside from a huge Scottish man trying to feel my *** and announcing he was not named Jimmy Saville.
Not much to discuss Leinster were step above every team they met, and considering recent success it's a bit hollow. The pro 12 final should be the real target of the team. I wonder if w=they'll put another star on the shirt for this or will it only be an outline.
I loved Sexton's post match interview. How Ulster must be pretty confident choosing Leinster's home ground as their declared home venue. It's clear from it that the Pro 12 Final is Leinster's number 1 goal and Leinster are using Ulster's choice of venue as motivation.
I don't know if it was picked up by Sky's cameras but with a couple of minutes to go, Joe Schmidt was walking in front of the South Stand towards the halfway line at the Anglesea Stand trying to go unnoticed. He received a standing ovation from pretty much everybody and nobody paid any attention to the last piece of action! It's well deserved. He's done so much for Leinster rugby and will be badly missed next season. Leinster's loss is definitely Ireland's gain.
So Connacht have now qualified for the Heineken Cup three times in a row and not once on their own merit. Whatever about gaining entry because a Heineken Cup win gives Ireland an extra place, getting one for Leinster winning a B grade tournament isn't all that fair. It's great for Connacht and their development but I can see why some would be ****** off. Then again they did finish ahead of some qualifiers in the Pro 12.....
Why an earth did Ulster choose to play away when they could play at home?
I think Jack McGrath took a bit of a hammering but it'll stand to him big time.

Because Ravenhill is too small based on the rules.
Actually despite what the commentators were saying (a winger and a ?) it was more Ross who was having a hard time which stopped mostly when De Malmanche (who I felt was illegal in what he was doing) went off.
Why don't Ulster look into using Windsor Park then?
You seem to say that every time an Irish scrum has a tough time.
