All Blacks final World Cup squad?

Lima was never going, he would have been aware of this and was brought in as he was/ is cover in case Carter, Barrett or Slade go down.

That's not true. His interview prior to playing for Southland suggests his selection was still up in the air.

I know Slade can probably slot in there at a stretch, but if we desperately need to call in another halfback from New Zealand in the middle of an injury crisis then it must be said that Brad Webber continues to impress. It's "only" the ITM Cup, but he scored a couple of great tries this afternoon. Which has been typical of his entire year really. He just looks like he should be there in so many ways. Aaron Smith will be the incumbent for awhile to come, but imo Webber will push him pretty hard over the next few years.

Will be interesting to see if Piutau has a Mcallister like break down over not getting selected... Somehow I doubt it.

He had to know he was playing with fire doing what he did with Hansen still coaching the team next year. I think he's a bit unlucky he played good enough to go but fact is others played good enough to go aswell and when you have them here next year id say its a pretty easy decision in the end.

Yeah but for a WC? I think Ellis would be a shoe in surely even if he's ****.

I doubt this. He played one game, if the AB's were seriously considering selecting him he'd have played more and they wouldn't have bothered playing Barrett and Slade a lot off the bench.

And Naholo played little over half a game.

I am aware of that but he'd have played more if he didn't get injured. Lima was fully fit and didn't play more than 1 game.....if you were seriously considering him you'd have played him more. Naholo would have been higher up the ranks prior to the RC regardless and obviously 1 game was all he needed to show he was ready. Lima not so. Even though he played well.

Barrett/Slade were always going to be on the bench though. Slade hasn't started for the All Blacks since 2011 and he seems to be going.

That's what I'm saying though - he's started on the wing since then, quite recently.

You'd have played Lima again at least off the bench if he was seriously in contention.

My biggest disappointment is Piutau missing out, he was easily the best outside back during The Rugby Championship, a solid and reliable player, won't do anything crazy like Dagg would.

Taking Nahalo instead is a big risk especially when he's still recovering from a broken leg.

Never been a fan of Kerr-Barlow, he's like a Brendon Leonard to me, never rated him and was one of the reasons why we lost at 2007.

I think Ellis would of been better, even though Ellis is a bit slower, he's got a good Rugby brain.

Meh lets hope TKB doesn't have to play the big matches, which he won't if Aaron and TJ remain fit.

The All Blacks played a 'secret match' and Naholo showed up and dominated. Shag wants to score tries, Naholo is a try scorer and is superior in this department over Piutau. I feel sorry for Piutau, but makes sense, we need players like Naholo to open teams up Puitau doesn't have the same attacking nous as Naholo. Savea doesn't look like showing up any time soon either, so we need a try scorer outwide.

Naholo won't be ready for the Argentina game, it's the first one up. I assume it will be Savea, Smith, NMS.

Faumuina over Laulala, and Romano over anyone is my only disappointment. Other than that I would be very happy if that squad is correct.

According to Tony Veitch, Israel Dagg has been spotted on a flight bound for the announcement in Wellington. Naholo in. Jane out. Skudder or Piutau to miss out.

Well I haven't seen any Dagg pics - If Dagg is in both NMS and Piutau are out. Piutau wasn't with the Auckland boys so it's fair to say he's definitely out.

The pictures of Naholo are with the Otago ITM Cup team...

That's not confirmation, if anything that's evidence suggesting otherwise.

He's wearing the ABs casual shirt and was seen holding a Barkers AB suit. He would have come from the Naki hence on the same flight. No other Naki players were on that flight.

Yeah, that's why I'm not confident to call it as a sure fire thing. No pictures and he's the only source I've seen claiming it. Someone even posted a photo of Skudder on his way in a car (although I couldn't really make him out). Veitch also reported it around midday. I guess we'll see.
