Air New Zealand Cup Mod

I had plenty of time on my hands so I thought I'd give this kit modding a go. I did and came up with an average looking Wellington Lions home jersey replacing London Wasp because kinda looked similar. I have no photoshop experience but still gave it a shot anyway.

Anyhow just wondering if anyone would be able to give me some tips on modding jersey's because it took me ages about nearly 6-8 hours just to do 1 kit was hoping might be able to cut that time down a little so I can do more mods to my game.

I'll try and get screenshots of the jerseys but can someone tell me where to upload them and how do I get them to show up on my post.

Would also again like to give a big thanks to all the modders I really appreciate how much work you've done for us now that I've given it a go myself. Keep up the good work everybody

Ok, i find the best thing to do is get all the pictures of the kits, so you know what the numbers look like and any design aspect.

Get all your info correct and also get the logos/images you need for badges, emblems and sponsors logos.

I find a very easy and fast way to make kitbacks is to rename all the jbck subfiles to different names (like the alphabet, so you'd have jbca, jbcb, jbcd etc) in any fsh kitback file.. this stops the photoshop import bug (it will save over the first jbck file only), and if you just copy the renamed file as many times as you like you can use it for every team, rather than rename them all individually for every fsh file.

Making kits is not too hard. Getting the alignment of lines and designs on certain shirts is very tough unless you know how, but generally it is easy to make a kit.. you just need some skill in photoshopping.

You can also change the configuration of the collar with the config file to match any kit you make.

i gave it a half ass'd go a while back but gave up due to boredom plus being busy

i've uploaded the logos that i found on the web not sure if any of them have changed i dunno coz i missed the last season as i was living in oz

i might redo it myself though

where can i find decent source pics of the jerseys besides gettyimages.com?

I'm still stuck on trying to do jersey backs how do I rename the jbck subfiles? sorry for my dumbness but I couldn't figure it out.

All I do to find kits is just go to each teams websites and look through the galleries or just go to www.super14.com.

I only know how to do it for FSHed, but open it up and open any kitback .fsh file.

Then you should see the 22 images appear.

I haven't got FSHed at the moment to show you, but just have a look at the options tabs and see if you can change the name 'jbck'. It is very easy to do.

Then save after each time you rename, and rename them *bck. * = a-z of letters.

This will let you use more files to import with, otherwise you spend an eternity saving jpg, bmp and they cant be altered.

Hey is anything happining with this topic? not trying to make that sound in an arogent way but am just curious to find out if anyone is doing sumthn on this. cheers :)

I've had some progress but I'm not really a modder like everyone else on here I'm just killing time. Anyway I've managed to do a Wellington Lions kit which took me forever but it doesn't look anywhere near as good as most of the kits made by the likes of others on TRF.

If anybody has any other tips on making kits or how to use photoshop it'll be greatly appreciated.

Awsome, so this topic is making progress!! I cant wait for it to be finished!!

It'll be really slow progress because I'm only home on weekends and I'm not good at using programs like photoshop and so creating really detailed jerseys will take too much of my time. The Wellington Lions jersey that I have created has hardly any detail but as I get better at using photoshop I should be able to create more detail.

By the way how do I take a in game screenshot so I can look at how the jersey looks and than maybe post it on here so others can take a look and maybe give me tips on how to improve it.

Thats cool. Um you will need to take a 'print screen' pic. Then upload it onto paint and save. then upload onto this thread.

I've done a Wellington Lions kit & Hawkes Bay Magpies kit but haven't finished the Magpies off properly yet still got the backs to do but anyhow heres the screenshots. They might not be the best but I gave it a shot anyway.

This kit replaces the home kit for the Hurricanes

This kit replaces the home kit for the Cheetahs

Are they the ones that EVOL did, or are they your own? They look good, they just need tidying up with the collar and minor things.

I made these ones but I don't really know how to use Photoshop so theres no creases in the jersey's and the logo's are a bit messed up too.

I've made my local teams kit too looks kinda alright I might post it up too if I can remember what team I replaced.

Keep it up mate!! This mod would be awesome and I've waited for this for a long time.

Keep up the awesome work.

I've made a Bay Of Plenty Steamers kit but I messed up the backs and I haven't fully completed it yet but will eventually. Anyways heres some pics. I made it so this takes over the Act Brumbies Home Kit.

I'll give Auckland a try next but due to my lazyness I'm just using my Magpies kit and just changing the colours to save time.
How do i upload my mods do I have to zip them if so how. I've got winzip but don't know how to use it.

Finished the B.O.P kit and just moved onto Auckland. Haven't fully finished Auckland just need to adjust the top of the sleeves and colour in the numbers red.

This kit replaces the Auckland Blues home kit.

Still have a few things to do for the Auckland kit but I've moved onto Waikato here's a few screenshots.

This replaces the Waikato Cheifs home kit.

Here's the Manawatu Turbos kit I need to add the numbers and add logos to the shorts.

This replaces the Bulls home kit.
