But in the west we actually care about human life. Putin couldn't care less about how many of his people are killed. He's unhinged.

No, you got accustomed to count on someone else while in fact you should count only on yourself and should be capable to protect yourself even without US/someone else's help.

And couldn't care less about all the Slavic people at all .He started not only Russia -Ukraine war,but rather a genocide of our Slavic people (maybe it sounds too loud,but that how does it look like now when I see how many young great Slavic men died for nothing there)

Because in the wake of the 2nd world war Europe needed to rebuild and Germany for all intent and purposes was disarmed. With France and Britain absolutely ravaged someone had to step up in the name of liberal democracy against communism under Stalin. The USA CHOSE to use the fact it had economic superiority to become the de facto leader of NATO allied countries.

A place which has seen itself in cultural ascendancy for the best part of a century. And until Trump was a place it was quite happy with sure they wanted as they could more NATO countries to step up in real terms with the money spent of defence. But in reality the USA liked its position of authority and meant nobody was really to argue against them when they took part in conflicts in their best interests.


Sure European members of NATO should of been more wary the US would remind from that role. But we should kid ourselves that they didnt want it and it's on in the past decade that has been changing and even then Trump 2.0 is way more radical that his first term in this front.
