I was tempted to dump some of my investments and a month ago. Ultimately though it's essentially my retirement fund and not for trying to guess the markets, so I'll just sit on it until it eventually recovers. My friend got lucky and sold some right at the height of the market.

Yeah it's all about time in the market as opposed to timing the market. It's retirees who don't have the luxury of riding it out I feel sorry for.
