A Political Thread pt. 2

"Multiculturalism makes no demands of the incomer to integrate," she said adding: "It has failed because it allowed people to come to our society and live parallel lives in it.
"And, in extreme cases, they could pursue lives aimed at undermining the stability and threatening the security of society."
The home secretary said her parents - who migrated to the UK from Mauritius and Kenya - "both signed up to British values wholeheartedly".
I knew someone exactly like this. An immigrant from Portugal who said immigrants should not be allowed in the country as they were benefit scroungers, but he was ok as he was a good, hard working immigrant. It's amazing how well dogma can get people to be absolute hypocrites. Also I wonder what her opinion is on the Brits who live in Spain and made zero attempt to integrate or even get passports when required? I seem to remember her jumping on the Daily Heil bandwagon of presenting it at the EU retribution against good, honest Brits rather than a bunch of non-integrating immigrants who refused to comply with the requirements to stay in the country being kicked out.

Getting ready for that leadership campaign isn't she. What a piece of work she is.

I find it amazing given the apparent extent of the fraud and how brazen and clear it was that it wasn't found much earlier. Are there no checks in place to confirm what a company is saying before handing over millions of dollars in loans...?

It's like this guy:

I heard one of the writers of that show used to work in government. We thought they created a comedy, but they were actually telling us how it all works and how big of a joke it is. Pretty much everything that show does is accurate to British politics.

It's got to take actual effort to be that unpleasant, like you have to go out of your way and try.

WTAF?

I love the fact they are saying they think it was "deliberately felled" when it has the cleanest and flattest break you can imagine. If that wasn't done with a chainsaw by someone who knew what they were doing I'd be flabbergasted.

The other question is why? Seriously why?

Only logical explanation I've seen is an unhinged local sick of the tourists,

Absolutely crazy behaviour no matter what the reason, it's not like this was a "crime of passion" or a bit of drunken vandalism, a tree that size takes some real cutting down

That's the issue with unhinged local. The way it's been cut and felled and the effort it takes. That requires at least some knowledge, you can't just grab a a chainsaw and cut a tree down like that.

Apparently some farmers have made complaints in the past about the number of people going on/parking on their land in the area - still a stretch/a bit tinfoil, but I genuinely can't think of any reason that anyone would have done it
