A Political Thread pt. 2

I didn't even know he went there until the rob kearney thing. National politics are so boring now they just get overshadowed by the batshit stuff at local level.

"Your father's not a bad man, he's just English" - Joe's maternal granny

Joe calls himself an Irish Catholic, a lot more catholic than Irish but if the most powerful man in the west wants to claim his heritage here, you let him do it.

Very painful to watch but very funny since you know tories BUT when you put this with the pretty disrespectful no look handshake he did with the South Korean president. It's a pretty bad light potentially.

granted you look throughout the years He's done plenty iffy still

Somehow still better than the alternative

I dunno. All I see is him shaking his hand then talks to some army dude then puts his arm around Sunak. Would hardly say that was painful to watch.

The left right political spectrum in America is different than Europe. Most Democrats, if you put them in European political parties, would be pretty Tory. Including Biden.

Also this generation of tories seem further right than the few before. I think sunak wants to project himself as a Biden type democrat but his few months in charge say otherwise.

Democrats in the US are such a wide tent party it's really hard to pin down what any one individual actually believes. A few shared policies and meta goals but it's all over the place.

What's that old saying? Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by a career politician's long history of racist gaffs

Biden would absolutely be a Tory
