A Political Thread pt. 2

I wouldn't have anyone who was part of a Johnson cabinet. They've all shown the are completely lacking in morals.

For me the most experienced who isn't really tainted would be Hunt.

Yet he was an abject failure too

I think Hunt is someone who tries to act all statesman like but lacks substance - almost a poor man's David Cameron. A change of Government is probably what is needed TBH. The Tories have had 12 years now.

I wouldn't call Sunak a Boris crony or ally. There was clearly beef between the two and Sunak was always unconvincing when asked by the media if he supported Boris. One things is for sure - the Tories are progressively getting worse at picking a leader. Cameron, May and then Boris. They really need to get it right this time.

So who do people think would be a upgrade on Johnson v a downgrade in terms of Tory leaders pov
All just my opinion of course:

Downgrades:
- Patel
- Dorres
- Lord Snooty (a dangerous downgrade at that)
- Sunak (it has become clear to me over past few days he is a hardcore fiscal tory, so his ensuing cuts drive would yank out very vital support from a lot of the population at this time - and no doubt the millionare husband of a billionare hieress will be looking out for the average wage-earner across the country [/sarcasm]. Furthermore, BJ breaking the law at partygate wasn't a moral issue for him.... no doubt in sizeable part as he was also equally busy breaking the law...)

Sidegrades:
- Gove
- Zahawi
- Truss
... and I'm sure a bunch of other equally incompetents.

Upgrades:
- Grieve

Unknowns
- Wallace; might be the hunting dog needed at a time of strife in Ukraine.
- Hunt - didn't have a great record as health minister - remember the nursing strikes - but looks much better compared to the sh!te that came after.
- Javid. Don't know where he stands on too many things. Didn't see fit to leave the cabinet on partygate.

If you want to switch off the entire country from politics a Hunt v Starmer general election campaign would do the trick nicely. 💤

Would that stop people with limited attention spans from voting?

You may be on to something there....

Great get people who are actually interested in how the country runs voting instead of "I voted Johnson because he seams a bit of a laugh". Everyone has a right to vote but you if you want to exercise it at least try to be informed.

Paul Maynard helping Rishi out.

Agreed on most counts here Javid is a slimeball who quit Johnsons government twice but saw it fit to comeback post Hancock. But honestly most are an upgrade in that they won't actually debase the post with their morals and standards. So your only looking at worse people are people dumber or evil er than Johnson. This is my way of saying your side grades are still upgrades sadly just not significant ones.

Baker hasn't been mentioned here the guys smart and been a good political player in the past. Sadly he's also the lead ERG idiot and I don't want him anywhere near the EU or the NI protocol.

Javid, Hunt, Wallace, Tugenhat are probably the best we can hope for and Javid feels like Johnson without the lying.

Christ on a bike I gave Baker too much credit earlier. Braverman is a laughing stock on legal twitter.

The Tory party right now:

In other news, looks like Trump, or at least his ally, was trying to use the IRS to get at his political enemies.

Of course what worst is she behaved in the same manner on the way out as well.

Anyone but Patel. As a mixed-race fellow of South Asian decent, I can't stand her. She's about as much of an Uncle Tom as it gets.
