You just know the only thing they talk about in that squad is how the Dublin coffee scene compares to Melbourne, self-help podcasts bordering on pseudo-science, how having a mullet is a personality, and their planned careers after rugby that they won't be qualified for, but which they will secure through a sponsor or a friend's dad.

Good win there. Argies not great but think Butler, O’Connell and Luke Murphy showed good potential today! Really like the cut of O’Riordan too.

Im sick to my stomach with that but to be honest I think we have to give McMillan a year at least. I think the selection was poor but I think he’s been dealt a bad hand with coaches he didn’t necessarily want and a squad he hasn’t been allowed to change yet.
Now, for me starting the likes of Scannell, O’Donoghue and Wycherley is a bad miscalculation, each has had their moments with us but they’re absolute deadwood. The rumour that Hodnett and Abraham’s might be let go over what’s there as well is frankly a bit worrying, but I don’t think we can afford to be reactive on McMillan. Frankly coaches won’t want to come to a club that churns coaches in and out every year anyway and I think he’s ultimately got a plan with regards the squad. We need an outsider at the helm because plain as day the province is not well run a doesn’t make the most of its resources.
I’m checked out on this team for this year though it’s not good enough top to bottom. The level of effort shown tonight the squad can frankly **** themselves. People spend a lot of money to follow them home and especially away and it’s not good enough. I standby what I said in the match thread Beirne is not a good enough leader, excellent player though he may be.
All fair points. I think McMillan has potential, my request for Robinson was more in a consultant role.

Honestly part of me thinks we may have missed out slightly on Richie Murphy. That said Ulster looked honking under him at the beginning too and I don’t think Donk licked his reputation off the ground. He always says the right things at the very least so let’s see. The summer will be telling. Until then honestly I blame the squad
