I know he has got some credit for putting Saints in a position to go all the way last year, but maybe that's a stretch. Obviously did a good job at Canes. Definitely very welcome experience in the interim period at a minimum. Based on nothing I could see him getting to know the org and then being given first refusal for the HC job if he likes the organisation and the organisation likes him.
