Lol excuses already pouring in from the Lions. Never has a team visited our shores so arrogant or such poor losers. 2-0 is proof enough.

Burger aside the Lions were as dirty as anyone and once the Boks cottoned on to this the Boks calmed down and beat the Lions AGAIN. My only sad point in rugby terms is I have lost all respect for the Irish and Welsh who I always admired in rugby. Officially the biggest losers in the game.

The sour grapes from this BIL is sad to say the least.
Wut?

Check it out. This has been the attitude the whole tour.

And of course the Boks are always gracious in defeat and have never been known to moan. Congratulations on winning, but really you should be able to destroy a scratch team

Wow world beaters one week and scratch team the next. You took the best of 4 strong rugby nations, is this a scratch team? More sour grapes.

You know there is such a thing as a bad winner too...hint hint.

Hows the sour grapes tasting this evening? Don't drink to much of it or you will get a bad gut. Snoop win or lose against Wales or Ireland this year it matters not as we are the World Champions. What is your team currently?
Not sour grapes at all on my part. To my mind the Lions is an outdated concept now driven more to sell subscriptions to Sky Sports and the like than as a sporting entity which was the case pre-professionalism. I watched today's game as a neutral of sorts who paid particular attention to how the Irish players played. With all due respect, I couldn't care less how Simon Shaw, Matthew Rees, Tom Croft et al fared. The best team won both tests. I've no doubt the Springboks will win the third test too. Hopefully that game will be as good a contest as the two which have already taken place.

My teams are Grand Slam champions, Triple Crown winners, Churchill Cup champs and Heineken Cup ***le holders at present. These have all been achieved in the last calender year. Remind me how the Boks did in the last calender year in the only international tournament of note (for them) - bottom of the Tri Nations if memory serves me correctly. My national team have also beaten the Boks the last two times the sides have met. I'm pretty satisfied with our lot.

At the time I blamed O'Gara but, now I don't. Obviously it was silly of him to challenge, why, if he knew he wasn't going to get the ball, didnt he just wait for the guy to catch and land then SMASH him?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

One thing we have learned is that South Africa are an immense side, quality in all areas, not many kickers would have got that kick, not only the distance but the pressure on it.

WELL DONE SA

Oh and was it just me or did Sheridan punch a South African in the gonads?

Thanks Bristol. It was a very tight series between to very strong teams. Yup he flattened Bakkies nuts I think LOL.

I thought so too. He should have been binned for it. O'Driscoll is another who was lucky to escape punishment for his shoulder charge on Danie Rossouw.

But also JP-Peitersen on Kearny, Matfeild numerous off-the-ball-after-the-whistle-wrsetleing.

Ref was ok, better than most refs on this tour.

It was a tackle.
Yes, but kind of strange. BOD's arms were going for the wrap around but the clash came a split second early. And he was offside. And it ended up with him being spaced out for Habana's try and going off ten seconds later.

So it was a tackle, but one we could have done without.

Anyway, glad to see Bokke chock full of arrogance. It will overflow when they beat the ABs, and dry up when they lose to Oz. Then PDV will be sacked after the loss to Ireland in the autumn.

I didn't blame Vickery for last week because the coaches should have taken him off before half time.

I wouldn't blame O'Gara except everone including him know's he's afraid of contact so why the hell did he try a garryowen when he knew that he wasn't going to contest. Idiotic really. should've given it to Kearney.

Don't want to be picking fights but I think the Bokke but I don't think I saw any dirtynesss from anyone all tour except for one`or twp moments today. Fighting isn't playing dirty. It's fighting.

And yeah, Phillips, Heaslip and Gatland earlier in the tour should have held their tongues ond got on with it (even if they were right at times but I feel you're over reacting a bit. I don't think there was much arrogance at all. Some playes were sore losers but a minority I'm sure and everyone knows how selective journalists are with their quotes and misquotes.

Funny you never piped up until the series was over!!! Lol the great thing about being WC is it lasts 4 years. Let me give you a little run down on the Boks, World champions, Super 14 champions, Lions series winners, 7's champions and undefeated of the NH last year. Trust me we have had many celebratory hangovers recently.

I can understand your joy in a win against the Boks on your home turf, I mean hell Ireland have only had 3 victories in your rugby history against the Boks.

I am not arrogant you will have to look at a few of your country men. In all fairness yourself and Llorghea(spelling) are always good sports and gentlemen. I am angry at the attitude of the Lions team.

Only stating what they have won in response to our new friend Snoop. Wales won hands down in Dubai and fair dues to them.

I know TheBokke, but i genuinley dont understand the difference between the 7's World Cup and the 7's World Series.

I didn't feel the need to. If I'm not a fan of the Lions concept, why waste my time posting about it? It just leads to me getting bogged down in pointless discussions like this one.

Aren't you a Sharks fan? If so why are you counting the Bulls Super 14 win as one of your teams? If we're allowed do that I may as well add Magners League winners to the accomplishments of my teams this year.

You're right, Ireland's record against South Africa is truly appalling. In fact it's appalling against most teams! It shouldn't be surprising though since rugby union is the 4th most popular sport in a country which has a population roughly one eighth the size of South Africa. Things are beginning to change though, especially in the last decade. I'm happy with how Ireland are progressing.

Why you posting now? contradiction?

I support all SA teams if my team is out why does this surprise you?

Ireland are progressing no arguments from my end.

I think this game would have been vastly different if Brussouw had started instead of Schalk. I'm not sure what Schalk was thinking or if he was thinking but his gouging ruined the first half for the boks. I don't know what PDV was thinking bringing Danie Roussow on either but fortunately Brussouw got to come on and possesion started coming our way. Imagine he had been there the whole game!
