I mean it was clearly a tackle off the ball?
It wasn't obstruction because he chose to tackle someone without the ball, it wasn't like he was taken out

But Beirne stuttered, meaning the player had over run and then was tackled ahead of the ball. He's out the game as soon as he's in front of the ball as he can't take a pass or receive a kick.

I'm not saying it's obstruction, it's just a play on

Well done Prendergast. Puts lipstick on the half for us. We haven't been at the pace and needed to make the first 15 count. I think we're in a decent position now. Pack needs to get more joy from their carries, there's not much cooking in our backs.

Ireland probably feel the better with the scoreboard as it is going in at half time, given how the games gone, POM extremely lucky given his repeated no arms challenges, I can well see Ireland galvanising at half time and kicking on.
