If this was week two or three, I'd be more confident of a French slip for the reasons you've stated, but being the last round and the championship on the line, there's a lot riding on it, so I doubt they'll be lacking motivation.France are obviously the better team anyway, but from years of watching overly emotional Irish performances it will be interesting to see where the performance level is this week after they put so much into last week.
Indeed.I doubt they'll be lacking motivation.
Must have had some serious delay on the amp, nothing was in timeWhy is it the French always butcher national anthems?
It's class. Very difficult to pace yourself during the day though. Managed it for NZ (unfortunately) and SA in the WC but I can't remember the second half v Scotland at all.Would love to get to a night game at the Stade
I think the fans did alright but the crowd mics and audio mix was poor. The bag pipes ane definitely dreary without Scottish fans blasting it out.
Right come on Scotland. Land of my birth
I wasn't paying much attention but wasn't there a hint of "relationship, cooperation and respect" speech before the anthems too? I wasn't paying full attention at the time so I may be mistaken.Nice touch from France to let Scotland have their bagpiper on the roof. Touch of political decorum (cough cough trump cough cough)
