[2025 Six Nations] France vs Scotland - 15/3/25

Unpopular opinion.
It was all more or a grapple on the floor, I don't think there was any attempt to lead with the head, or to hit in the head. Head contact was glancing, mild and incidental.
Of course, it's also important, off the ball, and after the whistle.
With mitigation of Meafu not knowing that White had been pushed onto him, not deliberately starting something.

Calling it a headbutt is technically true, but makes it sound way worse than it was, and the degree of danger was absolutely minimal.

I'm okay with it being yellow for handbags, and let's get on with things, I'd also have been okay with it being a "harsh but fair" red. By the letter of the law, probably red, but possibly the very harshest of reds.
A deliberate act cannot be described as "the very harshest of reds". And claiming Mauvaka didn't know White had been pushed into him is grounds for mitigation is one of the weakest arguments I've heard for a long time.

I would definitely say so intent and all that.

Not Seen a punch in a rugby game in about a decade when there was Bath V Gloucester match and I think both sides lost like three players.
Short memory

2020 was the jam slam unless I'm mistaken, red card in every win. 2019 was fairly comprehensive if not an attackins spectacle.
2020 England won...your making me google stuff. 2021 was Jam Slam and your right they lost the last game by 2 points. I think it was referred to as jam slam before the game because they were on for a grand slam.
