I still can't over the maul/none yellow situation. It's one of the worst calls Ive ever seen. Not only it is a clear maul, all 3 refs describe something different like watching it.

He called it a tackle situation, in which the sack was on the ball carrier, when that ball then gets passed backward ls there no offside line, so the Italian tackling the ball carrier at the back of the 'maul is fine.

I don't think it was a tackle situation personally, but England were probably too eager, had they had more patients they wouldn't have tried the bust from the lineout and set the maul better.

My overriding feeling about this England team is they just look shaky. I don't know if that's good enough after 2 years or do we say you can't claim 2 years with the defensive coach and and influential S&C coach leaving after the summer tour?

I've thought it a few times in the Borthwick era but who's taking the game by the scruff of the neck? Still seem to be lacking that bit of leadership in the field.

But there was no sack as the whole thing was moving forward, at pace, everyone on their feet, with an Italian on the Italian side of it...

I'm going to cut England some slack today, but only for today.
Between the Lawrence injury, and the Brace effect - it's got to be tough to build up any momentum

Honestly the Lawrence injury is only made worse due to the England selection

The coaches leaving is on the HC so yes it is 2 years.

Its all moot, this 6 nations will ensure he is in place for as long as he wants to be.
