[2025 Six Nations] England vs France - 08/02/25

Untill furbank comes back I can see this being the way. Personally I would like to see carpenter, de glanville etc... but steve isnt looking at them currently.

Steward had strengths, but we need the second playmaker somewhere.
Other than being elite in the air (with law changes probably more important than ever) I really struggle to see his strengths, lack of pace and one on one tackling shown up time and time again and when you don't atleast have a great attacking game to counter that your just to limited for international rugby.

This season he has added a lot of running threat to his game, like a crash ball centre from fullback. And obviously under the high ball.

But I agree, his pace and change of direction is killer for a fullback at international level.

Also... whisper it to try and not jinx it.... but prop seems to be looking good... stuart and genge incredibly solid, baxter looks strong, I cant remeber heyes ever looking out of place either...
Genge made some really important tackles in the loose. Smothered carriers with a torso tackle a couple of times when an offload would have been extremely problematic.

baxter looks strong
Nah, he's not in great form right now. Came on and immediately gave away a penalty by losing the contest. I'm sure he'll come good again but he's not the second best loose head in the premiership for a while.

Would let him find some form and give experience to another in the interim.

Fair play to Borthwick, I don't think that was a game where either side deserved to win or lose but things have started to click. I've shifted from being vehemently anti Smith/Smith to looking forward to seeing more of it. When Daly came on I screamed at the telly yet he scores the winning try...
T Curry is a lions starter for sure

Also won two scrum penalties and scored a try...
