2023-2024 transfers

Thats surprising Baxter is normally a good judge of character on who will fit in with the squad as well as talent, what do you think of him potentialwise as i never really seen alot of him.

TBF playing lower league might have humbled him I guess?
Potential wise I think he could be a solid prem Rugby player TBH, he's a good kicker and decent passer etc.

Tom O'Farterty --> Sale

Happy with that

Got done in by Ashton this weekend.
Chris Ashton England GIF by Sale Sharks Rugby

Although being serious I think he's a upgrade on your other older wingers he gives you a nice solid option that can be paired with Reed or Roebuck.

Will work well with Ford as he's intelligent enough to read his kicks

Yeah, we're very light on the wings,
Starters are two academy kids, behind them we have McGuigan who is picking up injuries with increasing frequency, [Redacted] who is unlikely to be seen again, and then players out of position (i.e. Hammersley or Luke James) - in Prem Cup games we're playing centres on the wings
Definitely somewhere we needed to recruit, so I'm happy

Did Solomona not also leave this year too or did Covid **** my understanding of time again?

Damien De Allende confirmed to be leaving Munster. His next destination isn't confirmed but is outside of Europe so probably Japan as was rumored. I'd rather not come up against him in the URC .....

Was a great player for us and an absolute professional. Absolute workhorse for us who was asked to do so much for us. Bit of silverware to send him off, while unlikely, would be nice.

Fekitoa will be an able replacement for him for sure. As long as he's not on the treatment table too often.

Chris Cloete Munster => Bath
Obviously a favourite of JvG; and not exactly a well-kept secret.
Not sure where he fits into our backrow though - presumably fighting Ellis and Bayliss/Coetzee for a place on the bench.

Chris Cloete to Bath confirmed. Really good player. Will suit the Prem style of play well I'd say. Good for winning and giving away a few pens a game.

Where's he likely to fit into our backrow?
Current first choice is Reid, Underhill & Bayliss, with Ellis, DeCarpentier and Coetzee behind each of them.

He's an out and out 7 to be honest and doesn't really fit elsewhere. He's an absolute monster over the ball (led the league in turnovers last year), good defender. Middling enough carrier I would say, but not bad by any means. He is hugely aggressive and will be involved in and is likely to have started any bit of afters.

Any one of the funniest fuckers off the field.

Will be great craic watching him over as well he is a player that just rustles lads up the wrong way.
Will 100% improve Bath and will give them something they've lacked a bit over the last few years .... A set of balls on the field.

Langdon and Neild to Worcester

Not surprising - very very disappointed to lose Langdon, though
Dimes lumbers us with Akker on a long term deal then sweet talks Langdon away by saying "Hey, look - they've got Akker for ages, come to us instead"
