[2022 Six Nations] England vs Ireland (12/03/22)

This is it in a nutshell. Neither set of fans being comfortable with the favourite tag says enough really.
Wrong you little idiot. The favorite tag fits me like a glove. England don't stand a chance. They're a waning rugby power, while World Rugby should save themselves the trouble and start chiseling our names onto the Web Ellis now.

Saw this in the paper. Apparently a machine that finance types use to predict risk and the like for hedge funds has give this as the score for Saturday. May explain why the world of finance is totally f*****!! But wouldn't mind it being right.
Not the WOL financial prediction machine by any chance?

I really hope England win as ill be there tomorrow, either way i cant wait its been quite a while since ive been.

Ireland are rightly the favourites IMO but at Twickenham id still give us a good shot at winning.

Must have missed the announcement of no quarter finals this WC.

With France on 18 points now I feel that England need a BP win against either Ireland or France to win. Even if they do win both games, I don't see them getting a BP. Only other way is improving the points difference drastically.

On the other hand with Wales getting a LBP and having Italy next week they should finish on 11. Scotland also have Italy, so should get at least 10 points. If England get battered in both games and Scotland pick up a LBP on the last weekend then England could easily finish 5th again.

So what your saying is England could either finish 1st or 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th? Thank god for Italy...may they stay forever.

I'd be happy with 1st or 5th really.

1st show Eddie has improved our issues in the last two games and 5th means Eddie hopefully goes.

Middle of the table would suck, another wasted 6 nations with some silly selections and tactics.

I dont think EJ will go if he gets 5th as this team is in experienced and havnt played much together which might save him. Rightly or wrongly

Yeah, I think unless the gets a grand slam next year or wins the world cup and decides he wants a new challenge he won't leave Dublin, he's very settled here by all accounts.

*Phone Rings*
Sexton: Hello?
Phone: Johnny, don't forget to watch our for England's D
Sexton: Our head coach was England's defence coach for a while, we've watched so much tape over the last few weeks, I feel comfortable with how prepared we are
Phone: No, Johnny, you're not listening - Not England's defence, their D!
Sexton: I don't understand what you're on about then. D?
