[2021 Six Nations] England vs France (13/03/21)

They'll definitely be contenders. They have the capacity to play better rugby than anyone at the moment I think, maybe not SA. They really conspired to lose that today, an immature performance but they'll learn from it, this is the first year that they're favourites. Galthie included in all that, biggest loser in the French camp right now.
Yeh defo contenders of their home RWC, but a long way to go. Just think France need to establish themselves as the number 1 side in the world before they play 2023. Those fine margins in the knock out stages like a big semi, being number 1 and having that confidence to overcome those nerves when things aren't going for them will be needed.

Yeah just confirmed France didn't get in our 22 that entire half. Sounds easy but that's key to beating France I think.

It's been a good campaign for a learning team with talent, last year they lost it to a moment of stupidity. This year a little more from working out how to close down a tight game. They'll need to finish off the next two games and I want them to get the championship but yeah maybe loosing slams is possibly a good thing. Winning all them hasn't done Wales any good in terms of RWC's and France want to be competing there not here.
In the here and now it will hurt, but from an RWC perspective that's actually a good result for Fra as they will learn so much more from it than if they'd held on. The graph is never smooth and that's good experience to have banked.

I'll confidently say Fra will be better come the RWC. Not sure I think the same about Eng.

Eddie referring to France as Wales in the post-match interview... very telling...

Always remember England didnt win the Grand Slam until 2003 despite being the best team in the world at the time. You do learn things by missing out.

Our game plan must be totally different against France, we need a Gatland style of game and our kicking must not be the norm, but we need to give our fliers a chance to compete and someone give Carre an energy pill. as the bench will be the difference on winning or loosing.

It's amazing how many of my Welsh mates think that today's result increases Wales' chance of the grand slam. The Welsh education system leaves a lot to be desired. If anything, I'd say France will now be fired up to get back to winning ways!

France getting plenty of forum fellatio, I get they're good with a lot of talent.

England showing a bit of attacking structure, coughed up a lot of ball. If they can be a bit more clinical they're going to get back on track.

TBF you've not posted a single positive thing about England in this entire thread. Maybe you should move to France if you're that despondent.

Surely you're not suggesting that even if we were to make some/necessary adjustments... that we would still have no chance of beating this team that so bravely just... lost... to the team, that we... erm just beat!?!?

Just a fantastic 80 mins I thought from both teams.

I've just looked into the threads here and elsewhere and the downplayment of England by everyone is borderline hysterical.

Hmmm

a cracking game between 2 very good teams. England funding their feet but need to build on this against the Irish next week.
But easily the best game in regards to quality and skill this 6N.

interesting to see how wales do next week as I think they'll need to find another level to live with France in Paris

Well done England that was an entertaining fixture and far better commitment shown today. . I also believe that the Welsh backs will exploit the French lacklustre defensive line if they play like that next week.
Probably could've done with us being a walk over, this might have given the French a kick up the backside

Nah it ain't that... it's more the 'Wales have no chance' rhetoric which fans our flames bud ;)

England played as good as I've seen since they best the all blacks in the WC maybe not quite to that level but not far off , great performance to beat a strong french Team which shouldn't be overlooked .
