Yep poor coaching but that came as soon as the squad was announced tbh. Ewels instead of a proper back row player, no number 8, Youngs at 9, Daly just being in the squad anyway. Then Farrell at 12 lack of an actual leader. All these were spotted by everyone but Eddie Jones.
