[2019 Six Nations] Wales vs England (23/02/2019)

Going into town for a bit of brekkie and to soak up the atmosphere... might swing by Walkabout to see what Flats and Shanks are up to too.

WAY-YULS!

So up for this today. Another massive test for England and chance to prove that they really are on a new dawn. I'm hoping that the U20s match yesterday is not a omen though. Those lads had the better run of play and looked stronger for the most part but were undone by silly errors and a welsh team that just kept coming to the very last egged on by a passionate Welsh support.

It's going to be epic and I can't wait!!!

I'm so nervous and excited...I think like most people I went into the Ireland game expecting us to lose, but hoping we showed that we were continuing the improvements we saw in the AI's, so I didn't feel the tension as much. Now it's completely different and the pressure is on with both sides potentially going on to win the whole thing. However, I reckon this side can cope with the pressure, where as I can't.

I'm so excited I can barely sit still, going to Bristol this morning to watch both games with my sisters who live. Imagine there'll be a good atmosphere, good mix of both sides, strong Welsh contingent in Brizzle I believe. Plus it's a rugby town.

Is there a thread for the women's 6 Nations by the way? I don't normally follow but we're going to the game in Cardiff tomorrow.

Oh God, the agony of expectation, I know

The banters been worse previous years :D

I'm nervous now, too much optimism leading up to today and talk of the grand slam as a forgone conclusion if we win is just too much. I'm nervous and my beer shop doesn't arrive till 2.

Watching on my own, or down the local brew tap. I'm undecided, we seem to win when I watch at home and I have bad memories of watching games out. Going crazy in my living room while the kids look on in bemusement....

I went out and collected my beer at 7 this morning. Not eager or anything, just want it nicely chilled for the build up on the France game.

My nerves are mental at the moment. So a session in the gym, and then a bit of O'Driscoll's autobiography to keep me in check.

Ha ha! Beer on your wheetabix this morning then ;)

I was meant to go out for a cycle ride this morning, that would of helped, but there was a sleepover at mine last night (lots of the sons friends) and I didn't want to leave the missus to do the cleaning up/kicking out :D

Enjoy the game bud, I'm sure it's not going to be easy!

The nerves are worse as ive got the whole of both games sober!

And the fact i feel optimistic about England is both confusing and worrying.

Now this is an impressive stat.

England have only lost three rucks in two matches in the Six Nations, with a leading ruck win rate of 98.9%.

Had the Sarries game to occupy me last night and have managed to keep a lid on it today.

Until I came here and now I can't wait.

The best a worst game of the year.
Welsh wife, Welsh best mate - winning is awesome but losing really, really sucks.

No doubt that's a key reason why I always fear the welsh in Cardiff.

Just moved into my first owned house. England better not duck this up for me!

Also no EB in opening crawl was great.

Praying desperately for no JD on commentary I have fear....

Congratulations! Always a very exciting moment!

(Obviously I'm talking about JD not commentating an England Wales game)

Gatland saying England are gonna bore everyone to death cause all we do is kick.

10 tries vs 5 tries, lad.
And that includes Wales playing Italy.
