[2019 Six Nations] Wales v Ireland (16/03/2019)

I remember the last time the Irish hyped up and posted images of one of their players this tournament

I'm not quite getting the JD2 criticism. He is as consistent as they come, and at a high level. You rarely see a replay of an error by him.

I'll be rooting for the Welsh as I think their winning streak deserves a cherry on top and I think Schmidt made some really poor tactical calls in the first two weeks.

Of course, the fixture will be a bit of a letdown having been eclipsed by a famous victory in Rome.

If you were reading Truthteller's post and knew zilch about rugby, you would have thought Wales had won the last 5 years of 6N, Reigning World Cup winners, and no.1 in the world....

It's just that we in Wales consider him the best 13 in the world while the Irish are sure that accolade should be awarded to Ringrose... just a case of putting one down to accentuate the other.

The fact that this place is called 'The Rugby Forum' probably means that we all know the reality of the situation then.

I did start the sentence clearly with an "If".

I would post a link to prove you wrong, I'm not going to though :)

He's just advocating us as we seem to get a bit of an unfair wrap... a little heavy handed yes but I've seen heavier hands from users of 'other' countries.

Fun fact, Ringrose is actually the best goal kicker in the world. He just doesn't do it so as not to embarrass the other players.

I think Davies is a player with a lot of quality. He's strong defensively, has a good boot and can cut a nice line but what knocks him down for me is genuinely his passing. He's improved since he first came on the scene but it's still pretty erratic and not really of the standard expected of someone who gets called the best centre in the world. BO'D passing wasn't his strong suit but it was still miles better than Davies. Maybe my image is coloured by some horror showings but even passing to the right, which seems his stronger side, I've seen the receiver have to check their run to make sure they catch the ball too regularly.

Kinda hoping my man-crush (Moriarty) gives yours and Bro's man-crush a rosey-ring tomorrow;).

My Davies put down was a joke too! That said, currently he's a worse passer than Conor Murray, which ain't no compliment right now, and it's no surprise his best rugby came outside two great passers of the ball in Sexton and Farrell.

Defensively himself and Ringrose are more or less equals who are different stylistically and I'd say the same about kicking, I just think over the past 12 months and even in his couple showings this 6n Ringrose is the better player going forward whether it be bringing other players into the game, the kickchase or beating a man. The last aspect is fairly close too.

It's all good, I know I ain't taking it too seriously... I do think though, if Davies was Irish and had had the equivalent career in green that he has had in red, & if Ringrose was Welsh... you may well be seeing things a smidge differently.

Fox is a lions legend hes won the pro 14 with scarlets and european final last year... 80 odd caps...15 test tries.. 2 six nations ***les and a grand slam....his passing can be sumblime...hes a master of the pop pass when he gets hit and offloads....he has a wonderful left peg and serious gas for a big guy of 16 and a half stones...oh and defensively hes a rock. if ringrose is better than that he was be another BOD.

It's all a bit of fun tt... though I'm pretty sure the Leinster boys do think Garry is another BOD!

it brewing up nicely .....still amazed how theyre not allowed to close their own roof in a storm , but thats the kind of petty world we live in atm

Maybe we can force the Irish to build a roof on the Aviva for next year as we are the visiting team and will have the final say. ;)

schimdt and co have really fallen in my estimation for that pathetic decision, added to the lies he told about the welsh too
