[2019 Six Nations] Wales v Ireland (16/03/2019)

Congratulations to Wales,

You couldn't accuse them of playing the most attractive rugby in the world (they'd struggle to score in a brothel) but they've been the most consistent and that's what wins trophies.
If they can keep their defence strong and Anscombe's kicking accurate then they could do really well in Japan.

Ireland desperately needed that. A complete capitulation and being nilled might have been insurmountable in 2019.

Well done to Wales. Sure they played the key games at home, but they defeated arguably the best Irish side ever and a resurgent England and that takes some doing. I think Gatland has probably secured the AB job with this winning run.

Can we now all agree that even mighty Sexton can be **** and isn't some how incapable of playing badly, I think it shows he isn't actually massively superior to the likes of Bigger, Farrell et all.

That's not why people think he's massively superior though. Everyone has their bad games but Sexton is massively superior at his best than those two.

Some questions that need to be asked.

Can we afford to play with seven forwards, given that Best doesn't do anything?
Is O'Mahony anything other than a luxury player?
Is SOB still up to it?
Is Beirne at the level of an elite international lock (first question where the answer isn't 'no' but he definitely didn't prove it today)
Should Murray even make the World Cup squad on this form? (Probably not)
Does Aki have a good enough all round game to be an international 12? (Not really but in fairness he's a good Henshaw backup)
Should Larmour be starting? (Maybe, our actual back three were good during the tournament but Larmour offers a lot)
Should Ryan be captain? (Yes)
Why is it that we won't take Murray and Sexton off? (One of life's great mysteries)
