Can't help thinking the Chief's were a bit unlucky. The missed try and, particularly, crusaders's second try. The latter was probably devastating for morale.

Well thats the end of the road for the Chiefs this year, they certainly didnt get the rub of the green tonite and therefore their inability to turn such a weight of possession and territory into points told in the end. Kudos to the Saders defence, and they did have the luck at the critical moments. On another day that weight of possession and territory would have won the game for the Chiefs, and they can be proud of the effort they put into today.

Now its just wait and see who their opponent is next week, my money is on the Canes, I just dont think the Lions are in the same class as the NZ sides and they would have to lift a hell of a lot from last weeks lucklustre performance to trouble the Canes.

It would be totally fitting to have an all NZ final, no team from the other conferences was in the same league as any of them.
