[2017 Rugby Championship] Round 1: Australia v New Zealand (19/08/2017)

This'll be my first rugby championship (tri nations) as never had sky sports before but got it for the lions tour and haven't cancelled yet... Really hoping the Aussies and the Saffas get their collective sh@t together as no one (bar every New Zealander) needs the All Blacks dominating the whole competition. Obviously Argentina are still a bit away from getting a few wins during one championship but I think there is a chance that they could finish above the Aussies this year.

As far as this match goes... All Blacks by 20.

Guess what - just had a phone call from NZ from a mate who knows rugby facts better than anyone alive. As with me, he is in his seventies. He agreed that each of the statements I made and which Caitlyn denied was true. I'm a lawyer, so Caitlyn go prove me wrong. I make this bet - I have played more hours of rugby on the field than you have played and watched! You guys make me laugh.

I'm a lawyer too, and the most important thing is to provide evidence. Now let's see what you are saying is true or not?

Sonny Bill Williams lowest try scoring record in All Black history:
Wrong!!

According to ESPN Scrum Stats, SBW has scored 15 tries for the All Blacks. If you run a quick comparison, you'll see there's a lot more AB's that have scored less tries. If you look at his position, He's scored more tries than others that have also played at centre. Anton Lienert Brown for one has only scored 5 tries.

Crusaders lost to the Hurricanes, Highlanders and the British and Irish Lions in 2017. The Highlanders game was a friendly.

AB based on salaries, not form is the biggest load of crap I've ever heard in my life! I wish South Africa had the same mindset as the AB's when it comes to selection. Every single player in the AB camp is picked on merit. Sure there will always be one or two guys in the same position who might be equally deserving, but that is the prerogative of the coaches and who they want to select.

The rest of those "facts" are more opinions (bad ones) but still opinions, and it's a waste of time to argue about one person's bad opinions, who obviously is trying to rile people up for the wrong reasons.

There, I have provided evidence, now please provide counter arguments.

I did want to leave this behind, but just to add the other false 'facts' that I highlighted...
- Henry did not lose 2 world cups, he lost 1 and won 1.
- Shag didn't inherit the Smiths from Henry... Bender wasn't in Henry's ABs at the time he retired and Aaron didn't make the ABs until 2012 - after Henry had left.

Now... onto the rugby!

If only the organisers had the same attitude, how long is this opening?

I told you Hansen would stick by Barrett despite having a far superior kicker in the XV. If he let McKenzie kick it'd be too much of a sign that Hansen was considering McKenzie long term (which he isn't).

Really soft defence by Australia. It doesn't bode well.

Is he not? I thought the coaching set up have said they see him as filling Barrett's old role in the 22 shirt.

Apologies, I should have said "are not considering him long term as a starter". I don't think any side gives penalty kicking duties to someone filling in for injury.

Ugh, we play like such a bunch of ******* amateurs...

**** it, I'm just gonna watch the Cowboys-Sharks game. The wallabies are so **** it is just too depressing to watch
