Ah the usual "Wales are better in every position and we have world class players all over the place and half our squad could walk into the all blacks blah blah baah baah".

Yes Wales are a good team but your players really aren't THAT good. You've been saying you are man for man better than just about every NH side for half a decade now yet your last 2 tournaments you've finished 3rd. That would imply **** poor coaching but considering Gatland gets WAY more out of the players than the Welsh clubs do, it would imply that they simply aren't as good as you think.

+1

They're a well oiled machine thats greater than the sum of its parts.

Remember when walesonline rated all of the Welsh and New Zealand players out of 10 and totalled them, and Wales were only 1 point behind New Zealand?

tbf, I think most Welsh people aren't nearly as one-eyed. Although... I hear rumours that strange things happen in the valleys... :p

Alright, the next banter/uncivilized comment and that poster gets a temporary ban. Also, I won't have any problem to lock this thread even before the match.

Oh come on its all in good fun.

Perhaps, but this is a constant problem for the well-being of this forum.

All sorts of cretins suddenly appear when these 2 teams face each other and in the past 3 or so years eveyr thread resulted in a poster(s) getting perma-ban's. The comments are harmful to our forum as it discourages other posters from commenting who sincerely want to make a worthy contribution, and instead the thread always turns into a bashing. Rather we stop this crap before it gets out of hand than just trucking along and let the forum go into disrepute.

What you need is a place where people who want a bit of banter can go on the site. The rules can be more relaxed and if a tread gets out of hand you just move it there.

What's stopping you from doing that? But this is the OFFICIAL MATCH THREAD... talk about the match or don't post at all.

The official England Wales match banter thread :D. I'm sure someone will get around to it.

Tbh Wales probably are poorly coached in certain areas, namely in attack. We usually compete well in most other facets, even against the top 3, but we often fail to convert our chances into points.

With regards to Wales getting more out of the players than the regions, probably more of a damning reality of the **** poor coaching at regional level + some serious lack of strength in depth in certain positions.

I do think that at this moment in time, man for man Wales ate better than England. Not by the amount suggested by valley, but still in out favour. Whether that counts for anything on sat, I don't know. It also has a lot to do with the inexperience of many of the English squad, so I expect that balance to swing in England's favour over the next few years

Jake Ball - 7

No wonder the kiwis think we are clueless about rugby lol

Doesn't man for man mean every Welsh player would selected over an English one in their position? I don't think thats the case and I'm fairly certain you don't either.

Bit like Cipriani before the Australia game at the RWC saying no Australian would make the England team. Except he was quite clearly taking the **** and just backing the players he'd recently be training with.

That article is just embarrassing....I don't think the welsh players are overrated in it just NZ players are underrated.....by a fair bit.

Shame I've seen us English put out articles like that.

Wales will focus their attack down the Ford and Farrell corridor. I have a feeling you'll make metres with ease at first, then Jones maybe pushed into a quick change.

interested to see the selection at 10am, do you guys reckon there will be many changes (if any) to the starting 15?
