[2016 RBS Six Nations] Round 2: Italy vs. England (14/02/2016)

Yeah, Ben Youngs was stupid for taking that tap. There wasn't anything on.

Our backs play is terrible - why do we not have a backs/attack coach?

They're so bunched up - two or three passes off of 10 and the balls barely travelled 15m. It's not even like they're dummy runners or switches, literally just shovel it along until someone's tackled and then do it again.

you're an ass hole

Did you enjoy the game yesterday?

Also, I'm fed up of referee's not managing the legality of the chop tackle. One there on Vunipola was marginal as there were some arms but the likes of Lydiates tackling should not be allowed.

Also guys we're only one and a half games into this coach...Lancaster had 4 years - I hate to have to say it but give it time

Well this is **** all round. Forwards being embarrassed at the breakdown AGAIN! Backs going nowhere, Youngs slow as ****, nobody chasing kicks, line speed atrocious. England have been ****ing useless.

Well that was bad. The 10 12 axis isn't working. Breakdown work is embarrassing.

I'm starting to think Jones is clueless.

Loved the exhale of breath from one of the commentators when we took that quick tap.

"What the hell are you thinking?"

You'd have to find a really pedantic ref to even penalise that, let alone card it.
Really? It was all shoulder with no attempt to wrap. Definite penalty if he had the ball, no different when he doesn't.

I hate Mike Brown so much!
Not sure if I'm happy or not that Ireland are having a bad tournament in the most spectacularly **** 6nations ever.

We're terrible.
Prepare the pitchforks.

Sad thing is that the thing that is keeping us going in this - the moments of individual brilliance - has nothing to do with coaching. When our attack goes well, it's because Joseph is showing classy feet, or Vunipola is pulling defenders in etc.

Let's take the positives, Wales won't win a grand slam

I don't think (m)any are saying that EJ is a bad coach, just that we're playing really badly right now.

Hopefully this will force EJ hands to make changes earlier.
Aye, let's get Goode on ASAP!
Though to be fair he'd probably be an improvement on Ford. At least he can tackle and pass a ball to the guy standing next to him.

Only saw it on one replay but looked to me like what happens on almost every kick - defender keeps running in a straight line and bowls into the kicker.
Not a tackle just a collision between two "chasers" (neither was really chasing the kick, but because the kick had happened it's legal).

That was a penalty on Garcia. Late, no arms and cynical.

Cips @ 10 Farrell @ 12 would work better than ford and Farrell.

And Daly needs his chance now JJ isn't the same pre World Cup.

Bring on Itojie, Clifford, George and Care soonish.

EJ hands were tied to an extent for the 6N's hopefully Summer will show more changes.

:wall:

Lineout issues, breakdown issues, stupid penalties.....horrible flashbacks thank god we're only playing Italy.

Pretty much agree with everything there.

Really don't like our cluelessness and lack of structure in the backs.
