[2015 RWC] Pool A: England vs. Australia (03/10/2015)

Your just so serious.
Relaaaaax. Lighten up. You may actually have some fun.

You just cant help some people.....

Anyhoo

Score prediction 21- 10.
Wallabies to have a quiet start then come over the top in the last 20.

You do realize what a dick you will look if the aussies lose? Oh its like 2007 all over again!
We will see. Especially the replays of those intercept tries England conceded in their attempt to get back into the match.

Seriously, it's hard to see England being coherent after the mess they made of their first two matches - how do they fix the breakdown, and with the Wales defeat if they couldn't do the last lineout right when will they? The Fiji bonus means they probably qualify, but I can't see anything but an Aus win - narrow, because England are at home.

A mess of a first game but still getting a bonus point? Obviously not too bad.

How weird, its the Aussies being modest and the English talking it up in the press.

lol wow! Man... we don't even say that about England when we play them in League - a game they haven't won a trophy off us in for close to 50 years now.

If Australia come out massively revved up and beat England, I think it's safe to say Cipriani will have played a part in helping motivate our boys.

If Wallabies win, England are OUT, regardless of bonus points. There seems to have been a bit of trash talking from the england camp, this is a sign they are feeling a lot of fear about this game. Aus have been quiet and giving no ammunition. A smart move I think.

As a Wallabies supporter, I rate england, they can beat anyone on their day. But I think they will face a very different Wallabies outfit tomorrow. A unified team unlike the rabble of 2013/14. Stronger scrum, stronger resolve, fitter, tougher physically and mentally. I don't think the crowd will get to them. They will come out ready to fight any fire with fire. They won't be phased. I think they will pull away in the last 15 minutes and win by 10+
Just my opinion of course..will be a great game

Under Cheika they have been more quiet so I wouldnt read anything into it. Before every bledisloe and championship encounter going back a long time before Cheika took over you could predict two things. The Wallabies would talk up their chances and they'd get a hiding.

I just think it's a better approach to avoid the trash talk. Takes the pressure off.

Yeah, I love Cheika's style. I think everyone in Australia who follows rugby (what few of us are left) were massively getting the ****s when former coaches and players talked us up... Cheika throughout his whole career has just been happy to agree with the knockers who've underestimated sides that he's coached. I remember Jake White trash talking him when he was still at the Brumbies and Cheika basically just said something like "look, he may be right. He's a world cup winner, so I'm not going to argue. We just need to focus on proving him wrong"

Cheika is a smart dude. Not taking the bait puts the pressure back on the other team. Not easy to do!

I want England and Australia to progress, so I hope for an improved English performance this game, 4 tries each in a close game with England on top, and then Wallabies to smash Wales
Possible???

So true, Cheika has a great style in dealing with it, I love it. Just plays it down and goes about his business.

What worries me listening to the noise coming out of the England camp is that they genuinely feel they were excellent for thr first 60-70 minutes last week.

If that is the case then why did they only score one try and never seriously threaten another?

Chieka is embarrassing us, if PR was scored he'd of won this 5-0. Everything is rebounding back and i wish some commentators would stfu; Ben Young's coming out and saying we are going to smash OZ out of the park in 20 minutes cos 'they know they can just beat Wales'... Ben, you're a scrum half. If Burgess said that if he came on in the last 20 minutes he would go out to 'hospitalize people' then maybe people would take notice; Morgan going on about dominating the scrum, Ben, if using Fiji as the yard stick (forgetting the RC) the Aussie scrum did just as well as ours, different triangles maybe and OZ clearly coyping the Argies holding style but the results were similar.

To clarify on the Cips comments, he was asked out the two sides which would be in his team and he said all the English as he was loyal to the players. Paddy Power, who have a history (being Irish) of jingoism, ran it you see now.

And Clive Woodward... saying Oz are stupid? FFS. Wish he would don a flap cap and remember what happened after 'he' won the WC. You shed all your skin and cells apart from your teeth every 24 months and this copy of Clive is a bit of a nonce. We all have bad years and his having one. Jiffy was having one for a bit but he bounced back and atm i wish Clive had taken that french job and ****** off.

Meanwhile the Oz media are scoring direct hits focusing on one area. As Chieka is saying, why can't the English lads just keep it zipped and leave the talking on the pitch, let the Healey's in media earn a living, who aren't even registering these days.

We're looking for the Aussies to do what they did in 2007 when one of their centres said they would put 50 on us or something like that to latch onto and they aren't falling for it.

It really is quite simple. This is a fair and epic match up. Both sides have their strengths and weakness and the capacity to break down the other team. England have superior kicker, better set piece, heavier pack, and I would stretch to say more dangerous back three over all.
Aus have better ball skills overall, quicker thinking, better fetchers and more experience.
Both teams are fit and ready. So it's gonna come down to which team can play the game the way they want in the right areas of the field. And of course who wants it more, and in this scenario if England don't want it more then we deserve to be knocked out.
So England are angry, fired up, and have all the things they need to beat this Aussie side, and I back them to do just that. I think Aus psychologically will be thinking they are through anyway with a likely win against a badly depleted Welsh side and will go through top, meaning they won't want to throw too much at the game so they can save themselves for the knockouts. England in the other hand will throw everything and kitchen sink, and England's everything is quite a bit.

So bring it on. And on this charge cry for England, Harry and St George!!!
