He played for the Kings last year. He can do a bit of both actually. I think it depends on the situation. If Hougie and Fouche and Visser can get decent bombs up and Bjorn Basson chasing properly, then SP could be in for a long day at the office...

I like him. He was 50/50 during the CC but I saw encouraging signs coming from him. With Ludik and Viljoen out of the picture he has a good chance to make the position his own. It was between him or Andries Coetzee (depending on who was relegated) and I think we have the better of the two.

I hope not. He is an outside centre, and that's where we need him. We are low for outside centres, Williams and Whitehead are too slow. Esterhuizen might be as well. Shame Riaan never had a chance to settle. When he joined we still had concerns over Louis' injuries.

Two Sharks teams playing each other in warmup. One seems to be a Vodacom Cup side while the other is ~U21s. Jean Ludik du Plessis at fullback, and the du Preez twins involved too. Graaff v Zeilinga at standoff. Graaff has played throughout the backline, could be a good option for the 22 shirt. Williams or Ndungane at 23.

Frans looks way better and in shape, even got his step back

Was a good game for the Sharks, Bulls are missing some key players that left last year.

Biggest issue for the Bulls was that their 9-10 axis was terrible.

What is your problem???!! I'm not the wife of Quade Cooper and I know he weighs 92 kgs. I ask you because I saw the weight of Frans on "Ultimate Rugby" (I always look at the sizes of the players before each game) and they say there weighing 110 kgs and I think it's too much for him, maybe they are outdated.

What a great start to the season, but, to be honest, I was swearing a lot during the second half. Why would you kick for points time and time again when you are up by 10+ points already? Now it all came down to a final minute push for the BP.

In the end I'm happy with the win, but execution can be a lot better.

You don't know how much Cooper weighs. You know what his weight was at the time of the official check.

It's early yet and the bugs need to be worked out, but the win was a good one. Not quite as exciting a game at the Cheetahs/Lions as this one just felt like the Sharks had it in the bag early on, but still a good game.
