It says canes but its the landers logo...

Anyways, i think we losing this game

Canes r still too inconsistent... Brilliant the 1 week, terrible the next...

What might count in our favor is that we had less byes then the other teams

Byes break your momentum but over a season helps players with needed rest...

Ill b very surprised if they pull off a win

I wouldn't be shocked with a win, the Chiefs have been very inconsistent and plagued with injuries.

That said, our injuries are very to be the difference. Vito, Smith, Coles, Matu'u and Leiua could all be out, meaning out first choice centres, both our first and reserve hookers and arguably our best forward could all miss the game. In this instance it would be pretty impressive to get the victory.

Just beat you to it :p

interesting changes, Fruen had to go he was a bit rough and TNW came on and looked good last week. Bit harsh on Anscombe & Pulu though. I genuinely think Pulu is overtaking TWN on form and Anscombe is playing well and hes a long range kicking option as he showed last week. He's clearly got an extra 10-15m range on Cruden and is just as accurate.

Chiefs coaches do like to use their whole squad though, backs and front row in particular.

Man that is one big chiefs front row...

Chiefs need bonus point wins. Its going to be a crazy game.

This chopping and changing for the Chiefs is just not working.

We need to form combos, it is hurting us.

I wonder why the Chiefs backline has struggled to function this season? Perhaps it has something to do with them changing 4-5 players in the backline every week...... ;)

Nanai-Williams is wasted at 13 IMO - he is best used at either wing or fullback. I'm not sure about the hooker selection either - what has happened to Nathan Harris? MackIntosh is a bit of a waste of space too - he's handy around the park, but still can't scrum to save himself....

Despite all the injuries the Canes side looks pretty solid IMO. I'm still not sure Thomson has the physicality required to be a lock at this level, but he does add some more mobility to the pack (along with the fact they have dual opensides..). Who the hooker ends up being could have a big impact on the match. Matu'us lineout throwing was shocking when he came on last weekend - Goodes throwing was much better when he was on at hooker though. I would like to see Matt Proctor get a bit more involves this week. He was solid last weekend, but he has the potential to be a real attacking threat at the back for the Canes.

I'm looking forward to the Kerr-Barlow vs Perenara and the Barrett vs Cruden match-ups...

Franks is having a field day in the scrums.

I do feel though atm just the Chiefs are a bit smarter than the Canes.

And Barrett's kicking is aimless as.

Bit of a scrappy match so far. There has been some intensity, but there have been too many unforced errors from both sides.

The Chiefs are definitely on top, but the Canes have barely seen the ball (and the ball they have had they have kicked away). If they manage to get the ball (and keep hold of it) they could still get back in the match, as they do have some serious firepower out wide...

Horrible game to watch so far. Hurricanes kicking away all their ball, it's like they're scared to play their brand of rugby but don't realize they're just not good at playing conservatively.

The referee is fairly pants too. He should probably look at what constitutes a maul, as there is not way the Chiefs maul had become a tackle..

I wouldn't complain too much about the ref - he may have saved the Canes 7 points by blowing his whistle too early at one stage... (I agree regarding the maul issue you mention though...).

i need to start betting on these matches... could have made some moola again...

Ardie Savea is impressing this match - unfortunately he wasn't able to get that pass to his brother...

Chiefs keep blowing chances. All Marshall had to do there was pass the ball....

Cruden is looking in strong form, which is good news for the AB's.
