2014 Super Rugby: Blues v Cheetahs (Round 6)

Clumsy awkward uncoordinated by the blues. But a win is a win.

I didnt think the Cheetahs were brilliant in attack just good. Blues are just all over the show and need a kick up ass really.

Average match. I'm sure the Blues will be happy to take the 5 points, but they have a lot of work to do. At least Nonu looked enthusiastic when he was on.

Luatua, Braid and Hickey were the pick of the Blues for me.

Some positives. Atleast set piece is working now and the fowards seemed actually awake. Luatua finally hitting form. Backline is alot better with hickey then noakes. Defensively we need to improve though. Small steps foward but alot of work to be done if were gonna be a playoff team. Weepu played better but he provides no running option at all, still keen on hall starting. Kirwan hinted post the game that luatua is gonna get more time in the tight five. Im tipping him to start next week and see this as nothing but a positive. Hes fantastic in the lineout and still is a force at lock.

Awful game.
I was watching about 60 mins behind. And by the time I fast forwarded through all the scrum resets etc I was almost caught up with the live action by the end.

Blues STILL have nothing in the way of a discernable game plan.
Forwards were slightly better than last week, but still below average.
And just some the basic skills in catching and passing seem to be lacking.

Sorry - don't want to always post negative stuff about the team, but its very hard (as a long suffering supporter) to be positive after this season's efforts so far.
The Crusaders game was an anomaly and the result had as much to do with the Crusaders playing badly as it did with the Blues playing well.
And the other results, well.....
