England are committing too little to the breakdown too late after the contact. Forwards are making dents then getting done over.

On an unrelated note, i saw owen franks on the beach yesterday and told him england would smash them. He didnt appreciate the banter.

Owen Farrell looks rusty, i guess it doesn't matter as his Dad makes sure he gets in the team.

France look fired up and England look like they haven't woken up yet.
Mike Brown did very well to get to the line but he lost control of that ball before it hit the deck, he was very lucky to get given that decision, especially in an away game.

England can sort this in the changing room and come out firing on all cylinders, lets see what France has in the tank for the second half because they sure have put the hits in for the first 40 minutes.

As long as he didn't knock it on it doesn't matter whether he had "control" of the ball, all he needed was downward pressure.


Strangely, I do feel like we could turn the second half around.

Edit: one of the best passes I've seen Farrell give right there to Brown.
