Yes, I was not implying you were holding it against him. I was intending to say I picked it up as well but didn't mind it, again not saying your helping him right and being more accurate should be seen as a rebuke? rather than just helping.

There are just so many different peoples in SA and to confuse the issue some will accept multiple 'labels'. The most confusing would be the differences between the labels; Afrikaner, Afrikaan and Afrikaanse not forgetting 'Anglo-African'. And then within those there are further seperations. But like you said, that is a thread on it's own.

Just watched the game on the train

Pollard was excellent, that first carry in the Scotland 22.. Power, vision, skills and composure..... it was fantastic.

He reminded me of Henry Honnibal. He might even be your answer at 12, though he really does being the full bag to the 10 position. You need to stick with him.

I'd be interested in what you see at 13 then? De Allende certainly has the build of a typical SA 12 with the added benefit of a skillset to rival that of JdV and Frans Steyn but he has been more influential out wide for the Stormers and with us struggling to find a really world class replacement for Jaque Fourie at 13 I got really excited by the article where Meyer mentioned that he had talks with De Allende where they were making noise that he could've played at 13 outside Serfontein.

We are in a bit of a pickle for time looking at the 2-15 RWC but my hopes long term are on a 10)Pollard, 12)Serfontein, 13)De Allende mid-field. Of the three Serfontein has had the most time with the Bokke but also neede the most time IMO. 2015 is probably just too early though sadly.

Jean de Villiers at 13 and Bok captain. Not seen Damina at 13 but he is so gifted it might work, the Jean back to 12 obviously.
Neither Frans nor Jacque want to play for SA it seems so let them rot somewhere.

Jan is not yet the complete package, yes he has massive potential but he does the battering ram thing to often - blame his couching staff yes, I think he will be a better 13

The main problem people believe what they read, FTD is not selected for France so therefore he can't be that good, the great difference between most of the TOP 14 forumers is that we speak both languages and understand journo's both sides of the channel, this i doubt is the case with most of the forumers on the other side of the channel, (this is no disrespect its just how i see it) by this i mean we read reports in both countries and i also see every one of FTD's matches.

I dont know if you are talking about this thread but no one has said that because FTD isn't playing for france he isn't any good. When on form looks like Carter and every little pass behind the back falls in place and he makes these beautiful runs which result in tries and he is controlling the game, but it doesn't take much for him to be knocked off his stride. The Montpellier v Tigers match at Welford road says alot about him, he looks like 2 different players at times. When on the front foot he is electric but some thing doesn't go his way all of a sudden he is kicking it out on the full and his decision making goes down the pan. Can you critisize some one on one game, many have had a bad game at Welford road i was there and we nearly sneaked the game at the end. Wilko taught Farrell a think or two when they played against each other especially last season but dont remember seeing loads of verbal against Farell when Jonnie made him look 2nd rate. So if you want rules for who to give verbal to and about, make sure it works both ways on a level playing field, but it never does with you guys, this season FTD has not and is not Flakely, add to the fact Montpellier finished 2nd in the TOP 14 with FTD playing most games!!! as for the best, competition/ club etc thats a comment i can only agree with as they have won the last 2 H Cups and have the most wins and finalists in all European clubs thats not me its just what history will tell people when they research it. Flawless does not exist, well not in rugby even Sir Jonnie has made mistakes, but only one or twice, and they were grammatical when he first arrived in France and struggled a little with the lingo!!!!!!!!!.

That's wrong.
I've been criticizing France at every possible corner, club, nation or specific players. FrenchFan has openly said lots of our guys don't have the talent, are too slow, or downright shiitty. Tony hasn't been particularly protective of any one French player, and gaston here is only defending his case and after all FTD is a MP player so he knows exactly what he's saying.

So I really, really don't know where that's coming from, but...it can only be you're reading things through what we say, and/or don't fully read our posts and developed a very partial and downright distorted conclusion from "French posters" who btw don't really have a general tendency on this forum. Each one of us is VERY different, heck 2 out of 4 aren't French, I'm a late bloomer Rugby-wise who's really half-Qatari/half-French lol, and FrenchFan doesn't really represent France, looooads of ppl (most probably a majority) still want country over club and are thoroughly against the rise and current weight of the Top 14.

As for FTD, what legitimacy does your post have when you're talking about 2 games, and not even Top 14 ? Isn't it you who has a biased, very partial scope on the topic atm ? We're just defending FTD because of what we've SEEN, over a considerable stretch of games. We're not just defending him for the heck of it !..
Fans from all over France have been praising him week in week out. Brive fans, Clermont, Toulouse, Toulon...everybody who's been watching the Top 14. And as a "neutral"/Toulouse fan, I only made time to watch that much MP Rugby because of him, the attacking culture he brings and Pélissié. (and Gorgodze.....love me some Gorgodzilla).

Ive based my opinions on FTD from the games I have seen of him, I haven't seen only that one game from the Hcup but it is the one I have used the example from. I think he's flakey because his performances aren't consistent. He has played very well this year no doubt but I dont think that having one good year makes up for the rest.

No mate we beat them 46-6. Also if you look at the comments i made about that match i said how Toulon where deserved winners and a class above us. But make your uneducated post all you like.
