[2014 EOYT] Scotland

i was watching the last time scotland played the all blacks when he did actually had really good positive's in the game, we had a bad year that game but then played well against the all blacks at some parts of the game. matt scott interception was the highlight for me which was caused by scotland pressuring dan carter to force the interception so if we are to stand a chance against the all blacks we have to be strong in defence keep as much possession as we can and distract they're attack even if it gives away a penalty because conceding 3 points is better than conceding 7 points right ?

its been confirmed today that Greig Laidlaw will take the captaincy role after Grant Gilchrist's injury and David Denton joins the squad to replace the injured Hamish Watson.

Sale reporting Cusiter available for the weekend, so it's Laidlaw and Pyrgos in the 23. Laidlaw seems to have sped up his service this season (obviously it being slow was never entirely his fault), so not too disappointed. Probably worth having as a kicker, and I'd say he's the best defender of the three.

i might just post his here.

hey guys, meet Scotland's new Mascot, his name is Lochie

What is supposed to be that? A dinosaur? a crocodile? a lizard? :p

Due to Henry Pyrgos injury last game Sam Hidalgo-Clyne will join the squad on monday and Chris Cusiter is back which is good for us experience wise

Looks like Scotland had a great game. Liked how they played a good attacking game. Wonder if they've had assistance from the Glasgow warriors coaching team?

i would certainly hope that Gregor Townsend did help out, he is a really good coach

Yeah definitely. He's turned Glasgow Warriors into a top team not only in Pro D 12 but European Championship as well.

Not just one day. It will be sooner. And if they don't it probable be more them loosing it then someone else winning it tbh.

can anyone remember the last time we came as close as we did to beating the All Backs last weekend?????

good question actually, wasn't that time when we drew 24 - 24 with them in like 1985 ?

apart from the draw in 1983 our smallest losing margin was 3pts in 1990 (and in 1978 and 1954). we have also had a 0-0 draw in 1964
