oh no no, plenty of things to do actually. Some friends are waiting for me at the bar atm for e.g. but I just don't want to go. This is free will, my dear. Making all this ten times more frightening.

cool, another injury. Kayser is likely to be out against Wales...knee sprain.

Seeing how Saint-André called Ducalcon up, he's going to go with a "classic" callup and get Guirado...for GOD'S SAKE get Tolofua from Toulouse, although Toulouse will probably sue the FFR if that happens. Literally. There are talks about that, Toulouse suing the FFR. Anyways......

After all the Blah Blah about the players being asked to be rested by the FFR nearly all are selected or on the bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was another great excercise by the FFR and LNR in diplomamatic relations. The day these too get their act together it will be too late.!!!!!!!!!!!

it's fkn ridiculous. Can you believe there's an agreement on paper that won't be respected...like, at least set the rules so that everybody knows what to expect ??????...no ??...nope. midway through Feb, we've got surprises...

Hey you familiar with Brice Mach from Castres ? Could be a nice hooker to have...

yup, confirmation. Benjamin Kayser out....for the whole tournament in fact. Another big blow, this is starting to turn on the ridiculous...

hey errr...I realize how pathetic it is that I keep posting this stuff and nobody replies  but I just want to let some ppl know who might be interested, as the "main frenchie news guy":

Brice Mach from Castres Olympique picked in place of the Clermontois Ben Kayser. Gutsy move from PSA, the guy seriously has some interesting and gutsy selections, barring the obviously weird ones but there hasn't been that many...
he's got that old school Southwest of France scrummager's look:
Brice-Mach_large.jpg
2166.jpg

Haven't seen a whole lot of him, but I like that he's been a consistent hooker with good playing time for French champs Castres.
1m78, 101kg. 27yo.
Not expecting tries and no look passes or wtvr, he's a hooker...but will be interesting to assess him at test level.

Looks like a "couillu", hein FrenchFan ?

EDIT: okay this is starting to get indecent, the triple/quadruple posting, so I'm gonna use the EDIT. Just wanted to say, this just in: Luc Ducalcon very uncertain (to play) for Cardiff. Which is totally awesome, they'll call in Clément Ric !!! I HOPE !!!!!! Imagine an injured Ducalcon playing    surely I can do a better job myself at tighthead, and I'm not exactly close to even 100kg atm.

GUESS WHO ! hahaha ha ha - hahaha ha ha - hahaha ha ha - hehe hehe hehe hehe !
Sorry I broke the oath, but this is a big one:

So Bastareaud is likely to be out against ze ouelsh. Thank God that FFR/LNR agreement thing happened. Three injuries (Ducalcon, Kayser, Basta) through the one Top14 weekend in between 6N weekends. :p Our guys play just way too much...like to the pt where it's comical....
Personally, I hope they call up Yann David. But Toulouse will likely start mass-murdering random people if that happens...they've already threatened to SUE, that's right, to sue the FFR !

Could you just imagine if France wasn't deep as fk ?? Our injury list could make up a whole Tier 1 national team right now :D

I'm definitely going to vote that post as the 'No.1 Wtf?' post that I've read tonight. I say 'tonight' as I've had a few alcoholic beverages, but I'm pretty sure I'll still feel the same reading it when I'm sober :p

we lose a bunch of mass with Basta and Ducalcon out....nothing to laugh about Rich Taff. And don't you know, alcoholic beverages will kill your liver and attakc yuor brian clels.
*zzzzzzzzzzzz*

Luckily, I'm never under the affluence of incahol!

yeah yeah, HEY !! I know what you're doing ! Stop buttering me up with the butters maaaan, we're enemies for a week, remember ! ARRRRRRRR !!! C'mon, let's hear your warcry/primitive enthusiasm chant !

so are Wales really going to play North at center ?...really nobody out there for Wales ??...
what's up with Welsh fans, you seem all stunned from last week ! c'maaan, lighten up !!

EDIT: this just in, some hilarious news. Wenceslas Lauret called up again, so that's good...but basically our front row is: Domingo and Forestier at LH, Szar and Mach at hooker, and then Mas and......Debaty at TH !!...so Vincent Debaty is actually going to play tighthead for us ! errrr....
This was the perfect opportunity to try out Clément Ric and find out if we had 3 high caliber test level TH's, but no...even Wihongi (Castres Olympique) would have been a nice fit for just one match...

Hmmm...Wales should target the French scrum around the 65th minute when we've got Forestier-Mach-Debaty. We'll see how that holds up......

Who goes on the wing? Walker suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury minutes after his comeback from the same injury. Amos has also injured his foot, which again, is a recurring injury. Prydie is still afflicted by his ankle injury. Liam Williams shouldn't be near the 23 until a Lions year. Ashley Beck was impressive v Treviso (...about that...), Owen Williams is back with Cardiff both have been used at outside centre for Wales. (Beck v Samoa, 2012). Hanno Dirksen is Welsh qualified, right? Lee Byrne was injured last I heard.

(ah, good, problems in Cardiff...)

WHAT ?! oh don't mind me, just uhm, hangin around here....
still, we'll miss Bastareaud especially for this fixture. We needed that thickness he offered at midfield...I really hope they bring in Yann David from Toulouse, we need power at the other center spot.

We need thickness now what about mass or do we need both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As far as Brice Mach goes very good hooker from Castres solid in the scrum, and pretty good around the park will obviously have to up his game to International level but he is as good as what is available and should do ok if he has to play the last 20mins or so.
Excellent weekend coming up France to sneak it in Wales and Montpellier to break Clermont's 72 winning home match run.+ a few Guiness's in Clermont!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guessing Davies is unlikely to play a part just yet? Especially after the match got cancelled on Friday? One game probably isn't enough after being off since November. Suppose they could look at Dirksen if North gets shifted to centre, though he definitely hasn't hit the same type of form that he had pre injury.

Will you just keep quiet about that, Stade Michelin is impenetrable !!!!!
Yeah, Mach should do well....and the excellent thing is we get to see him for more than just one little game, Kayser's out the whole tournament. It's a big blow, he was our starting hooker for the past I dunno how many tests but it's always great that we can try out our 'other guys', the reserves, and see just how deep France really is.
I was reaaaaaaally hoping they'd try Clément Ric from ASM, but no...we'll have a left prop playing right in stead !...

Not sure when France will decide to implement Tolofua (Toulouse) though...he's probably a (very) bright prospect for the post RWC France squad...he'll be about 23 in 2016, and much better than now :)

So about the match at hand:
I can't see Wales punishing France. Full strength or not I mean, I don't see Wales blowing out France here...France are comically injured atm but thank God we've got this tremendous depth and we might just be a fine team on the pitch next Saturday after all, I believe we still need to pick a center (please Yann David or Lamerat)...
Hopefully Gatland ball is as limited and easily containable as some suggest and we take this one handsomely, for confidence and continuity in reward for our efforts and suffering in 2013.
We really do need power at center though...Fofana-Fickou isn't gonna cut it as a starting pair, Fickou's still too young and lacks the bulk to start this one in Cardiff.

does no one at all want to talk about this match ?? :cryy: :cryy:

:p (ok here's an attempt): so ya Welsh cowards too chicken to even confront this little thread right here, huh ?! You can feel the end of an era, and you know you're going to lose this to some mediocre French side and entirely lose sight of the tournament and that so called "three-peat", huh ?! HUH ?!! First side to ever win 3 consecu.....BUUUUULLLLLLLL SHHHHHHHIT !!!!!!!

Not talking about this match ain't gonna make it not happen...ya freakin ostriches. Come on, man up already ! France are coming to town, will beat up your already beaten up forwards, give you a good shove in the scrum, contain your backs and score a few nice ones...albeit off counterball, probably...
just face it, ok...tskkk....
